Wonderful photos Bev. Thanks for sharing.
Sedumzz yes Feb 2 is Groundhog day. Punxsutawy Phil saw his shadow so they will have 6 more weeks of winter there. Today was dark and cloudy in Wa all day. We have no ground hogs here and I sure hope we see more signs of spring before 6 weeks.

Here you go, Lynn.

A lot of these small plantings were posted before but for those yearning to see greenery crammed into a small space...

Glad to have posted them again for you Lynn! I love putting these types of container plantings together as it is something, on a cold winter day, that I can do on top of the breakfast counter; makes a smaller mess too.

And a greeting to you, Marilyn, out in Colorado! Hope you are keeping your tootsies warm Big Grin

They are beautiful.

This year i'll be filling several windowboxes with sedum and sempervivum and some other alpine plants (if I can find them) and I will see how they grow. I won't be repotting or dividing them over the year/s and I want to see how they will grow.

Sounds like a fun project, Alex. I love the combo of sedum and semps but I don't have much in the way of hardy sedums that can fit into smaller container plantings. I've no luck with keeping alive some of the hardy ones and the really hardy ones tend to be border sedums which are too big/tall for my purposes or I'm not fond of the looks of them. I'll just keep trying harder with the ones I've kept barely alive (album, dashphyllum, anglicum, lydium) and hunt for some new varieties to see if they like it here.

Maybe you should try out petrosedum, and also phedimus that are Sichotensis group.

My computer is back. Hurray!
It has taken me several days to find everything, well most of it. I came across the photos I took in Chris Hansen's amazing rock gardens. He calls them a work in progress. Walking through this garden is a plant lover's dream. Sempervivum are interplanted with hundreds of other plants that grow in the same conditions as the semps.
Photos taken in October. Wish I could go again in the spring.

Blinking Wow...Very fun to look at; trying not to salivate...
I see a body of water nearby. Is the garden at the business or at the home? Must be a demostration garden?
Thanks for taking photos, Lynn and sharing with us.

Chris' front yard and back yard is a rock garden heaven. His back yard is on a small lake. He is almost continually modifying and enlarging the beds.

Here are a few photos taken at the nursery (Garden Solutions). Lots of new beds are being created in the area between the highway and buildings. What a beautiful sight to see when driving on the highway.
A new bed still in the making.

Stunning! His lawns are so green. What hard work he has put into his garden, I admire his tenacity and dedication. Certainly would be a good amount of years before I could get my lazy self to do something like that. Rolling my eyes.

Johannian, he has a most wonderful crew of indoor workers that come out and help plant and weed. An amazing group of people, I would love working with all of them.
