You wouldn't need a good amount of years to do something like that...You would just need 17 other people, like Chris H. does...especially for the heavy work placement and weeding... Whistling

Lynn, is it "Plant" or "Garden" Solutions?
More great photos you gave us, thanks Lynn!! Hurray!
Definitely harder to do at home. What acreage, huge plant inventory, and a little help could accomplish.

What a juicy, full thread for 2022 on succulent / sempervirums. I wanted to share my Winter Sowing ice plant success from last year, that may apply to semps as well. I love the plant and couldn't believe that WS the very fine, dust-like seeds worked like a charm. I'm overwintering them indoors, so the first photo is a close-up of the succulent - cactus-like form of the plant:

I live in Michigan, so this is one way to enjoy this plant year round, wintering some indoors and sprouting new plants, as need be. :-)

Deborah, love your photos, and info on how you overwinter them indoors. They look wonderful.
I grow a few out in my two raised beds. They do well in our zone 8 over the winter.

Jo Ann, glad you liked the photos. Smiling

Dirt, I've seen some pics of your garden and unless your cats rolled up their sleeves and helped planted, the resources you have, especially the creative vision in your head, have been more than enough to produce what I imagine to be a stunning garden as evidenced by the few photos I've seen of it:

How happy are these semps located in this little corner(?) of garden in Utah?

Hello Semp Enthusiasts - Today I winter sowed a batch of sempervivum seeds. This is my second year raising semps from self-saved seed. I hope last year's success (pictured) was not just a case of beginner's luck.

Photo, 5/2/2021 from 2020 saved seed. Well, saved chaff...there had to be some seed in there somewhere.

Stored in an unheated (brrr) shed, that's them in the foreground 12" hanging cage. This year's batch of seeds where collected from the 16" background bowl.

Maggie, that is awesome. Is there a reason you keep them inside during the winter?

Lyn - The weight of snow here is rough on some garden containers - too decorative to get bent or cracked.
