Wow Chris, those really have filled in, and beautifully at that. Love the piece of firewood, and that little red semp is framed so beautifully by it.
I have to keep going back to look at the big log, it is so intersting. And all the plants look so happy and healthy.

I was surprised how the plants took right off in the big one. Of course, some have to show off and bloom right away.

So nice of you to let us take a peek at the original log and next we get bonus with new smaller log with semps "bursting out ".

That little one had been split for firewood, but when I spotted the rotten middle part, well, of course I had to grab it! I'm sure people around here think I'm a bit crazy.

I know because I have this rose hedge which borders my little bit of semp yard from the sidewalk, and from the sidewalk it feels thicker and more private than it actually is, and several times I've heard people make "less than friendly comments" about the amount of time I am spending looking at my plants, or taking photos I just laugh, I know I'm a "Semp head"

I'm sure my neighbors think I'm crazy with all of my plant obsessions. I have cyclone fencing down both sides of my backyard so I can't do anything in secret .

Connie that's funny! For me its not so much the "working" in the yard that I get "called out" about, its when they see me just kneeling or sitting and looking glazedly at my babies! with my camera out, and they see it happen day after day and they think, wow this guy really likes his plants! And I do, so there ya go!

Well, I am into peak hybridizing time for my Japanese irises and lilies so I expect to my neighbors it looks like a freak show when I am out there. Just wait until you start breeding semps then see what your onlookers have to say!! .

I know! And especially because I'll be saying things like "Oh come here and see how cute is this little guy!" and people will begin to avoid my specific corner haha!
