I posted when I first joined ATP, but cannot locate the photo...and since then (as is my wont) I've moved it all around, and currently its not really looking so great, time to replant! And then I'll take photos!

Remember waaaay back when, when I told you how that stump found me at my parents house? Well, I finally have some pictures for you.

Here is the unplanted stump. It has 6 places to plant.


Got it planted this weekend. Had to hollow out a couple of the appendages but it was pretty easy as it's fairly rotted.

Thanks! My parents thought I was crazy when I asked for it. They had it in their burn pile. It's hollow all the way through, so I put hardware cloth on the bottom and some weed barrier on the inside over the hardware cloth. Then I put three very short legs on it so it could drain. I wanted to be able to turn it once in a while as the planting holes are on all sizes of the stump. Guess I should've taken a picture from the side too.

Thank you all. They have two more smaller pieces of wood I'm eyeing up too. Nothing fancy though - just hollow.
