Thanks....the clump has increased over the past 2 years.......wish I could remember the variety, but I have bought bags of mixed lilies, so that could be the case with those.......

Daylily blooms have had a tough time looking good this year...today was 96 degrees and I did not get a chance to take pics until late afternoon...

It's proving to be a fantastic performer so far here as well...I'm liking it. Did some crosses with it using 'Heavenly Angel Ice'. Got 7 seedlings from that cross...looking forward to seeing how it will play out once they bloom in a couple years.

What fun to hybridize your own DLs......surprise packages!

Fewer blooms on he daylilies. Fewer stalks. the irises did the same thing. It has been a tough summer.

I have many blooms on the DLs, but they are very small compared to a 'normal' year...irises were few.....

I had a lot of buds on my DL's to begin with, but many of them dried out and aborted...I don't devote nearly as much water to my flower beds as I do my veggie garden. Most years this is not a problem, but this year has been tough. And yes, I've also noticed that bloom size is MUCH smaller than normal.

The miserable deer came through last night and feasted on thousands of daylily buds. At least it was good for a week.

sorry about the deer. Work on our fencing has paid off this year.
