Kidfishing - wow! Hurray! Drooling Hurray! Drooling
Please pardon the drooling between the clapping Rolling on the floor laughing

You mentioned your son hybridizing. So does my 13 yr old daughter. She is also active on the AHS youth portal. They do a nice job of keeping the youth area just for the kids. There is a contest on there now where they earn points for doing things on the site (post picture, post to main page, etc) and the grand prize is Polly Want a Cracker. If he has not already been on there, he may want to check it out.

Lisa, My son is an AHS member and spends time on the website. He was featured in the March AHS Youth News for his hybridizing program. Great for the kids to be involved and learning.

Love the RFK kids!

Kidfishing - I read about him! I am on the youth committee so I receive the youth newsletter, Love to see our youth getting involved. My local Daylily club has an avg age of about 60- I know part of it is that younger gardeners may be too busy with careers and raising families to be part of club. Still so important to teach and involve the next generation. Thumbs up

Fred - I love the wide edge on the third one!

Here is the ffo on Bali Watercolor X Electric Mist. When it first bloomed last year I kept putting pollen from applique UFs on it because of the big green throat. I was so excited when it opened today and it was showing its own applique pattern. I really need to get this one in full sun. It's growing in part shade now and only has 9-11 buds there. Right now it's a 7 inch bloom on a 31 inch scape.

Me too, I really like that last one alot. Looks cool on a hot day.

Another 'culler' blooming today. I wanted it to have good color so bad, its got such great scapes and a pretty plant.
It pretty well sums up how my seedling luck has been this year. Grumbling Thumb of 2013-06-18/gardenglory/74015e

Debra and Kidfishing, you are both getting some great seedlings. Debra, I am really liking the blue eyed ones. Kidfishing, those big green eyes from RFK are awesome.

Fred you have several terrific seedlings from Emma's Curls. You may convert me to spiders if you keep posting photos like that.

Pam, Dan told me his mom swore that the scape is the hard part so I'd hold on to that one and just work on the color.

Debra, I like the 2nd one too.

This is a seedling that I plan to register this year. I have the name ICE CRYSTAL reserved. One thing I really like about this flower is that the sepals are also ruffled.

This is a seedlings from Diamond Star Halo. I have tried and tried to set pods on it and one year a pod appeared. The bee was much better at spreading pollen than I was.

Oh boy, I have a fan of Ice Crystal and it is small now. I'm hoping it will bloom next year. I will baby it.

She already knows which seedlings I like since we email every day lol.

Now my brothers wife came to visit and was here for all of about an hour. She walked around the daylily bed and looked at stuff. Now mind you I had some new and awesome stuff out there. But the one daylily she liked best out of the whole garden was one of my seedlings ROFL. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing I don't think it is all THAT special but I keep it around anyway, after all it is one of my babies.

Well here it is seedling 09-25. Maybe I should just put her name on it lol. The second picture is the flower that bloomed the day she was here. It had a few more flowers that day and was showing off.
