I have no idea of its rust resistance, I don't keep track of that, it's not an issue for me.
I don't grow this one, but I know someone here in the area that does.

I got the downsizing line from The Daylily Journal winter 2015. Wanda Evans was in the Round Robin section talking about downsizing. I thought it was cute and remembered it when Hemlady posted.
Here is what was in the Robin.
I told my husband I was downsizing my gardens this year, so yesterday when I had him digging a new one, he reminded me of that. I told him we are downsizing to small daylilies. Wanda Evans

Brookwood black kitten is on my wish list for someday

I got Brookwood Black Kitten fall of 2014 as 2 fans.
It bloomed for me last year but not many buds.
Picture is in full sun so it does not show how dark it is.


Right now it is 4 fans and I am hoping it will give me a show this year.

Someone to watch, if you do not already, for miniatures is Steve Williams.
At O"bannon Springs in Ohio he is working with miniatures so there will be more to come.

Cindy - I agree .... that's downsizing to smaller blooming daylilies!

I was checking out the Bluegrass Gardens catalog ((Burris and Mahieu) and I was surprised that they sell a number of miniatures. The prices are very reasonable and as I recall all fans are double. The most expensive I saw was $9 for Mary Ethel Anderson. It's almost enough to make me go for the "Littles". If you want small, how about Raspberry Pixie? I think it's only an inch and a half on a 12" scape--listed price--$4!!. One I saw I really like is Honky Tonk Blues, but it is sold out, as are several others I was interested in. Now, a disclaimer--I have never purchased any daylilies from them, so I don't know the quality. Maybe somebody has bought from them and can give me a critique about them.

I bought one daylily from Bluegrass Gardens several years ago and they did send me a fairly decent plant.
