Lisa, I had looked on the LA and found that out too. I almost fell over lol. I wish I had a clump of that one to sell!

I did a search and found Homer Howard Glidden. It's an older cultivar. Does anyone have this one and could tell me about it. I'd love to see photos of a blooming clump.

I got this as a bonus last year. I have some small ones at the base of my arch to soften the lines and not get lost among the big boys!

The ones that seem to show rust resistance are dormants (except for the one I asked about). I don't know how to search the database for miniatures. (There is not a miniature category.)

I noticed that everyone is showing me is "eyed" miniatures. Do those look better in bloom in person than solid color blooms? I do like eyed blooms, but thought they might be so small as to not notice the eyes?

Edited to add: Just doing a search of different sizes of blooms, I came across Mister Lucky that is 3.75" blooms. I have that one, but have not seen it's first blooms in my garden yet.

What size constitutes a miniature?

Becky here is a thread that was mentioned before. I guess 3" is max size bloom for a mini.

The thread "Mini Daylilies - blooms smaller than 3"" in Daylilies forum

I hope Mister Lucky blooms for you this year. It is a favorite of mine, but would not qualify as a mini at 3.75".

A bloom must be registered at under 3" to qualify as a miniature. I'm excited to have some new ones arriving this spring!

Vickie (and others) - Thank you for the size of blooms for miniatures. And also for that link. That might give me some more cultivars I can check out in that thread. I appreciate it! Thank You!

I'm adding the two new "blue" minis that Grace Stamile is introducing this spring, along with a recent one of hers from Floyd Cove. Also one is coming from Tim Herrington, I'll mention names when they get here. Can't remember names right now,

Oooooh! That was a very good link, Vickie. Thanks so much!

Does anyone know if "Christina Cook" cultivar shows rust resistance? It has an adorable bloom!

And Mary Ethel Anderson looks really promising because Glen (Australia) grows that one in a similar climate as mine and it shows rust resistance for him. And it gets high marks from other southern gardeners. Looks like a good one for me to try! I am not sure how I will like smaller blooms, but sounds like growing 1 or 2 might be worth a shot if they are indeed as cute and lovely as everyone claims. Do they grow well in containers or not?

I just added Mary Ethel Anderson last spring. It should be one to try if you don't have it.
Ashton told me we needed Grace's new ones when they first came out. We did not get them.

We have not focused on hybridizing for miniatures but I have lots of seedlings of mini crosses.
I think the minis offer some colors and designs that are uncommon in larger flowers. I have never seen the blue colors that show on my minis in larger daylilies. Here are examples..

This is a seedling made from a small blue eyed daylily.

If I had to pick just one it would probably be LITTLE SURFER GIRL. It's fertile both ways and can look quite different depending on the weather -- and it's adorable!

Has anyone ever ordered from Amador Flower Farm? They have a few smalI DLS I am very interested in and the prices are low, but I have purchased a couple of $5 daylilies from other sellers, and they were tiny plants, took a couple of years to even appear to want to live. I did look at the review on Dave's Garden, but felt ambiguous about whether or not this is a good place to buy. I don't see where they list the number of fans that will be sent, and that kind of makes me leery. Any help about this is appreciated.
