I really, really slammed one of my fingers with a hammer quite a few years ago. (Yeah, don't hire me.) There was a huge blister under the nail. Went to the doctor. He lit a bunsen burner, straightened out a paper clip, heated one end of the paper clip in the flame, and then placed the hot clip on my nail. Sure relieved the pressure. That finger is actually still flatter than the others, but the nail is fine. (I didn't watch your video.)

Oh man does this hit close to home. LOL
I had to have the nail on my big toe permanently removed after stubbing it one time when I was about 20 and peeled it completely off the toe.
It grew back with a big hump and was always giving me problems so I finally had it yanked off for good.
After having it done I couldn’t believe I waited that long to do it.
What a relief to get rid of that sucker.
Anybody want to see the pictures of what it looked like the next day after it was removed? LOL

My youngest did the thumb in the car door trick about a year ago and it got all blue and nasty and under the nail and she was mortified when I suggested I heat up a paperclip and then burn a hole in the nail to relieve the pressure.
She was having nothing to do with it.
Oh boy was she in pain with that thing.
I snuck into her room when she was asleep and heated up that paper clip and then burned a little hole in the nail.
The next morning she woke up and was telling us how much better her thumb felt.
That’s when I asked her if she noticed the little hole in it? LOL

By the way.
Using a heated paperclip to burn that hole in the nail is a better way then not having a paperclip and you end up drilling a hole in the toenail with a small drill bit to get rid of the pressure.
Mama never did say I was very bright.

Ray = new version of the tooth fairy visiting you during sleep.

This is slightly OT but I remember reading a story in the Rep. a number of years ago. Young woman got drunk and decided she didn't like her bunions anymore. Picked up a shot gun and .... yes, you guessed it.

Ouch!!! I am thankful to say none of us have had an issue with smashed finger and toenails, thank God! Of course, I've probably jinxed all of us now. Blinking
Ray, I feel so sorry for your poor mama! Rolling my eyes.

Nice tree Alan. But I have no room either. I always asssociate weeping trees as water hogs? Don't have any facts to back that tho.

I know western red cedars grow here, my neighbors have huge ones. And they claim to grow in the same zones. The thing that would make me wonder about this one is the horizontal branches coming out like that. Would they be able to take our full, beating down, intense sun. That part would scare me.

But if anyone wants to try, they have them cheaper on ebay:

Oh crud, just notice, that's a bid tree, not a buy it now, so not sure if it would end up cheaper or not.

I'm just guessing, and it's hard to tell in the picture, but what do you think, that tree is 15 to 20 feet in diameter. Yeah, no room in the garden Sad

Looks to me there is a support rod in the foreground that serves to create an canopy one can walk under... 8 ft tall height clearance????. If this is not a miniature setting and the lamp post is, say,12-14 ft tall, the pathway is 6 ft wide I'd say the tree measures across at least 15 ft more like 20 ft.

I think they were growing herbs in them. I need to do something with my looooooong fence and I was thinkin that might be an idea but I can't find anything about it Sad Help please and thanks muchly.
