I saw Monschi's work at an Art show here in Naples a couple of weeks ago. She is a very talented lady.

Hap and Budgie, make a day of it and come visit the Botanical Gardens!

I think I may later this spring or early summer. I've been off work a week with bronchitis. Finally broke down and went to the doctor Thursday who put me on antibiotics, steroids and an inhaler so I can breathe better now. Did give me time to get a lot of yard clean up and major pruning done this week. I did lose a large plumeria that I put in several years ago. Kept cutting it back and it was rotting pretty much all the way down. Had my son take it out so now I will have to put something else in it's place. I have some potted plummies but I don't know if I'll put one of them in or something totally different. Most of my plummies are the white/yellow and I'm afraid the potted ones will be too. We'll see.

Hi Marianne
How are you doing? Getting caught up on the winter cleanup? I broke down and brought a small electric chain saw to cut up some dead castor beans, bananas, etc. Looking really naked in some parts of the yard. Have to decide what to replace where now.

Oh I am glad you mentioned Chainsaw. We used to have (came in a kit) a dandy little saw from Black and Decker that we used ALL the time in the yard, much easier to handle than a chainsaw. Then it broke about a year ago. Couldn't find a replacement. Finally found one on Ebay (new) and just got it this week. This is one of my favorite garden tools. Built light enough for gals to use and as I sad, more manageable than a chainsaw, it made light of cutting up a lot of BIG bamboo this week. I can recommend this.
Here is a link, it is one of the 'Firestorm' range from B&D

I noticed they had 2 different prices and realized the cheaper was without the battery/charger.

Nancy, the "what would you do if you knew you would not fail" is certainly intriguing. A philosophical question? Knowing in advance the outcome of things? No such thing, in my opinion, witnessed too many "the best laid plans of mice and men often go asunder" or, as a friend of mine puts it, " the best planned lays...."

Just do it and be surprised.

The battery ones are great for convenience but I'm an electric tool junkie. I even use an electric mower. Instant start, never needs charging. If the power is out, it's usually due to storm and I shouldn't be out doing yardwork anyway. Rolling on the floor laughing

I have a few battery operated tools, but when they are needed in a hurry and have dead batteries I am glad I have several heavy extension cords and electric tools.
I too mow with electricity.

I don't mow over here, I used to do it in 5 minutes in UK with a hover mower, but here we have a tractor - but I am not interested in doing that - I am not suited to sitting on a tractor - did it once during WW2 on a farm going to school, but it's not me!! I am more the supervisory type!!!! But I did get out front today and cut the dead pigmies off all my pigmy dates!
