It sure is. It is coming down very heavy right now. Bet we get another couple of inches before the frozen rain comes. Wonder if we will end up with no electricity?

Losing electricity would be the worst thing to happen, at least for me (electric heat). But wait! It is warming up! I see 30 deg. on my front porch thermometer and drips coming off the gutters Hurray! .

I took these two photos about an hour ago (from my patio door). That indentation in front of the yard bin is where my little fish pond is, somewhere under all this stuff!

I hope when it all starts melting that it has time to sink into the ground and not cause flooding too. And hopefully no one will lose electricity. Crying

I just checked the local news and there are a number of power outages around the area. The forecast is now for an ice storm warning through 10 pm tonight. Tomorrow it should stay above freezing going into the new week Hurray! .

Right now I need to walk to the store. I thought I was prepared for this but now I am freaking out of chocolate Angry !!

Be careful out there Connie.

I just hope it doesn't melt to fast. We have dripping gutters as of about 15 minutes ago. It's about 30 degrees outside. I think it is the freezing rain that is doing it.
The wind is picking up and blowing snow of of the trees and roofs.

I'm just back from the store. What I found out is that the pristine looking snow has about a half inch of ice on top. Now I'm heading out for my usual daily walk. Normally I do 2-3 miles but will stick to my one mile route. It will be like walking the longer distance Hilarious! .

Yeah, chocolate! I had to settle for Hershey's Milk with almonds. I prefer Lindt's 85% cocoa but that store is almost 2 miles away, then back again. Still, it beats suffering NO chocolate! Looking at my poor truck in the driveway I won't be going very far anytime soon.

Hershey's milk w/almonds is not settling...I grew up eating those and that's where I have an appreciation for the choc/almond combo. Like in Rocky Road ice cream: I wont buy the brands that have walnuts in it. I want Rocky Road ice cream with almonds in it!

I grew up on Hershey's too and prefer the almonds. Almonds are good for you. Vitamin E, good. I do like the milk chocolate, I just aim to consume less sugar (18 g vs. 5 g per serving). I mix sliced almonds with my oatmeal, that's good too but not as good as chocolate!

Most of my semps stored under the eaves haven't fared very well. Guess I'll be doing more shopping Whistling .

Just set them out in the weather Connie. They will recover. But those in the photo look pretty good to me.

Of course they look good, I picked them out of the mess specially to photograph. Lilac Time looks pretty good too but my photo came out too dark.

I'll set them out, I have nothing to lose. The worst ones are ones in 4" pots (eg, Little Prince) and I never got around to planting them out. Notice that Ruby Mantle sedum you gave me second photo)? It is doing good. Some of it is on the table. I think the 2 delaspermas may have bit the dust back in the December deep freeze. Maybe they didn't have enough time to get rooted back in real well. Or maybe they can't take 0 deg temps?

Yes Connie, the semps look OK to me too! Save your money for chocolate. And I started trying to drink almond milk recently. Won't put it in my coffee but I will drink it solo... Big Grin

I love that almond milk in coffee, tastes like dessert. Mostly I just drink the stuff black. Just wanted to report the snow is here!!!! Whistling Now have about 2 -3 inches on the ground. The dogs love it!!!
Cadbury is my favorite chocolate, no nuts just ruins the silky consistency of the chocolate.
