Rolling on the floor laughing Because no one is going to see your light!

Okay, a very nice enabler just happened to post a beard shot of Durham Dream. Two toned and horned. Sticking tongue out How could a Durham resident say no? The enabler then posted a full picture of my temptation. All good until another enabler went so far as to post all the vendors that had my Durham Dream. Oh my! I really didn't want the rhizome to feel lonely during shipping so I had to buy some buddies for company right?? Blinking *sigh*

Well, I'm so glad you caught the bug, Leslie! Rolling on the floor laughing Arlyn speaks from experience. I don't know what he'll do when he fills the vacant lot too! I'm lucky enough to have 23 acres. So it will be a while for me. Hilarious!

If they see the light they think it's an ET, cause they can't see you, don't ya know. It's all part of the package of goods that feeds the gnome myth.

Well if I have two smaller lights on top of the helmet they would just think it's a raccoon digging in the yard. We get reaaaaaalllyyy big raccoons down here. The type you don't go out and try to shoo away. Hilarious!

I have about a half acre of grass left before I need to take over the neighbors yard.........

well, Leslie, if you wear that helmet with the two lights on it for several nights around the neighbors place then drop hints of GIANT raccoons dragging off hounds.... they will not care if you take over their area. Especially, since it is rumored that irises are a natural defense against GIANT things that roam the darkyards after sunset. Anything for irises.

It's time to "come clean", I guess, 'cause the truth will come out, anyway ! I have slipped over the "insane" threshold again this year *Blush* . I wasn't really considering all the ones coming from "private"sources, but adding those to the 180(give or take) ordered from commercial places, well.....it's off to the funny farm, where life is beautiful ALL the time ,and EVERYBODY grows IRIS!! Hee, Ha Ha!. There is another house for sale in the neighborhood, across the street, kind of a dump, a real eyesore, should go cheap.............................Arlyn

That's what happens here but you also hear what grows best, what increases fastest, names of reliable vendors and just a lot of oohs and aahs. If you have any questions there are people here who will have the answers and they are very eager to help a fellow iris lover. I love the Standard Dwarfs but cant stop buying the Tall Beardeds because of the beautiful photos people post here. alas, no hope for me.

The guy just down the street is into annuals in a big way, and has a huge garden full of rows of marigolds, zinnias, etc.( I'll take a couple pics soon), and is constantly going on about how the "both of us", shouldn't have to pay property tax, because, as he puts it, "We are beautifying the whole town, and raising everyone else's property values because of it ! look at all the money we make for the county!"..... Rolling on the floor laughing ...as if the tax man would cut us a break for that !...Arlyn
