What a nice show!
And I love the beautiful Amorphophallus leaves.
After mine bloomed, I moved it to a larger pot and now I am hoping for the leaf to emerge.

Crazy day for an open garden (rain heavy at times, sun, high winds) but about 20 people came. Here are a few pics.

Beautiful show, Jim and Kathy. Jim, I have a question for you. We have a fig tree here in DeLand, and we never seem to be here when the figs ripen. We have lots of green ones, and I assume while we are away, they ripen and the birds eat them. I would llike to be here and beat the birds to them but don't know when to time our arrival!
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

This area behind the garage and back by the compost pile gets rather neglected. Right now there are lots of self sown feverfew, some regular daisies and a couple hollyhocks booming. At least they hide the weeds.

The seocnd hollycock is more of a dark cherry color and over 8' tall. i think I'll try spraying them with Physon 20 this year to control the rust.

Stilldew, keep us posted on the results please. The Bayer 3 in 1 sure isn't controling it on my roses.

Carol, I had no luck with Bayer 3 in 1 for roses either. The fertilizer is all wrong for Florida and the disease prevention just didn't work. I have had some success with Bayleton in controlling rusts. It is a systemic and works well.

Jean, any chance you can tell me what fig variety you have? Brown Turkey perhaps?

It's Crape Myrtle season here.

Jim

Kathy, your place looks beautiful and I do wish I could have been there for the tour. It would have been great fun to just pop in to see it you would have recognized me.

This is a closer look at the Crape Myrtle.
