Twin Cities and Wired are Sutton irises. I like it too, first time either one has bloomed since I've them, been 3 summers.

Drat! My 'Leading Light' didn't bloom this year.. Really like that one. It's funny, I don't order many orange Iris, but they always seem to knock my socks off... (note to self......)

My band is called "Sherry Austin with Henhouse" (not to be confused with Sherrie Austin). The band has four hens and a rooster. We play Americana music (folky/country/bluegrassy).
We're on itunes, youtube, amazon, you name it.... We're pretty well known here in Santa Cruz, but not so much elsewhere... touring is too hard...

We did "Hallelujah" at a show not long ago and invited some friends up at the end: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

That's Great! Loved the music.

It's been windy today, and trying to take pictures has been a challenge, but supposed to storm tomorrow, so I kept at it and got some pics, but others are not going to happen unless the wind calms down.

Tom -- I was trimming bloom stalks along the fenceline today, and came to Snowed In and realized that it didn't bloom this year. Don't think it did last year either -- have to go and check my photos (I'm behind on my cross-reference list). But it does have three nice, healthy rhizomes -- so should certainly get to see it next year. In the meantime -- it was nice to see yours!! Smiling Even wind-damaged -- it's a beauty!!

Snowed In should bloom for you next year then, Mary Ann. You will love it.
Bonnie, Burnt Toffee is much darker when it first opens, later it does fade a bit. Love the colors in it though. Would like to see a new variety like that with ruffles. I saw 10 new blooms open this morning in the dark just here next to the house. Not to mention what might be out there that I didn't check out. Supposed to storm today, hope it doesn't, we're still wet here from the last one, and I have real sandy soil. I might not be able to keep up with all these pictures soon. Might have to just take them and store some of them until winter. Especially those that I have posted before. We'll see.

Tom, I LOVE this purple and went to go look it up in the database, it doesn't match the description or Brad's photos. Sad

@Henhouse: Great video!

Now, stupid question time to all: Is it common for your iris not to bloom for several years after you buy them? I am having the opposite problem - most bloom the first year, then very few the second year. Are both of these problems usual? Trying to get an idea of how many years I should leave an iris in place before moving it to see if it will do better.
