Oh Wow! A Ghio sale would definitely put me over the edge! Guess it is a good thing that I live on the other side of the country! Very jealous of anyone close enough to attend!

Saturday, September 20th, 9-10am, 1201 Bay Street; SantaCruz, CA 95060.

A good selection of the newest and best
introductions from many sources including the leading
hybridizers such as Schreiner, Keppel, Ghio, and a wide
selection of Blyth originations will be available for $7 each.
A limited number or 2014 releases will be available for $12
or $15 each. Also a selection of organic vegetables, fruits and
interesting gourds and pumpkins.


And Tom...I'm updating my list too...but it's still in flux with the trades going on and Joe Ghio's sale coming up (I would love to go...but don't know that I'll make it there). I'm estimating that I'll be around a modest 86 after the trades. That's actually not as high as I thought! Now if I can scrape up some money before the 20th...maybe I can bump it up a little!

If I lived that close to Ghio, you can bet I'd be on the door step when he opened!

of Santa Cruz in the 70's - and is a local legend. His irises are some of my very favorites.

Yes, he's an amazing hybridizer, and apparently an amazing man too...it will be an honor if I ever get to meet him!

Joe is quite a character, and a lot of fun. His veggies are good too. I'm growing a tomato plant I got from him named "Joe's Red".. A very large, tasty cherry tomato. He's very active in the local rose society, and he also hybridizes Dahlias. He had a gorgeous one at his farm in Corralitos.

Multi-talented fella. Makes me wish I could see it myself. Maybe you can post more photographs, Sherry.

Oh WOW! Some really beautiful Iris still left. I spent my budget but these are all gorgeous!

I am still on the sidelines. I order like the last two years (or was it three??). I always ordered with a friend and they have not come back with an answer. There are a good 5 or 6 I like.

I have never ordered from this vendor. Are the rhizomes good size? Also when it says Round 1, Round 2 is different plants offered?

These rhizomes are what are left from the Pacific Northwest Iris Growers sale last weekend. They are all from very reputable hybridizers and vendors. The rhizomes were offered in two sequential sets: the first opened Monday morning at 6:00am Pacific. The second was opened at 6:00pm Pacific that day, the first one was closed and any left from R1 were transferred to R2. The entire sale will be closing very shortly to give the administrators time to get all the invoices out because payment on all is due no later than tomorrow.

I am having trouble on Cubits. I cannot see where to put a order in. Can someone give me a link? Thanks
