That's okay, I moved it off the "P" thingy anyway. Hilarious! It's now on a proper stand...where it should be. Sticking tongue out

It would probably be happier dropping seeds somewhere besides the piano anyway. Green Grin!

Our local Lowe's has just marked EVERYTHING down by 25%. I bought a flowering cherry, 4 asters, and 2 pots of Asiatic lilies that are a deep deep red. Also a giant ostrich fern. But what I really wanted to do was start yelling uncontrollably: "I'll take everything! I'll take everything! Just bring the nearest truck and start loading!!!" Hilarious!

I know the feeling, Annie. I will not be satisfied until my gardens look just like the ones at "Flowerland", a nursery in NJ just across the Delaware River!!

I looked hard at a flowering cherry and a hardy bamboo, but I resisted due to losses of the same last winter. Ours has them at half price now. I ended up with a couple of lights for our pumpkins and two extensions cords ( Rolling on the floor laughing ) for my hour-long shopping excursion. I could have picked those up in 5 minutes or less at the dollar store, but I just had to look. *Blush*

There are times when I find it is in fact a blessing not to have my own vehicle. I have to beg rides to places that offer such temptations!

But I do want some lilies; that's on my Big Wish List in the Sky.

Yeah, so, well, I just posted that if I win the raffle I am going for the Perennial Obsessions offer because, hardy succulents.

Except I may not. I may just have to get some salvias from FBTS.

Oh and hey! Got my toadlilies from Bluestone! they look so good, in great condition, and I planted them today. Hurray!

Now I have to get some plain white Japanese anemone for that area and it will be done, except for everybody growing in.

It was really a beautiful day today! No chance to spend time in the garden, though--lots of chores and errands, and then a volleyball game. sigh.

It was beautiful here, too. Garden work didn't get done again yesterday because of one of my grandson's birthday celebration.

Glad I'm not the only one, Roses, who wasn't able to take advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday! Today it is raining again. Lots of chauffeuring duties this afternoon--DD has a lunch engagement, a music lesson, and a dr's appt--her schedule is definitely fuller than mine--LOL! Also several more errands and chores on the to-do list. Sigh. Maybe next weekend--it seems to have become a refrain of mine! Glare

Recently added a few more perennial chrysanthemums to my collection. Hurray!
Some are replacements due to my lack of patience, while others are brand new for me.

I potted up these plants for now, and I'll check them in a week or two. Not sure yet if I'll attempt to winter these baby plants in the garden, but we'll see how it goes. Smiling

Nice list Chelle. If you don't put them in the ground, will you need to put them anywhere (garage/basement) at all, or will they need to go near a warm sunny window?

I'm thinking maybe in the crawlspace under the house, along with the dormant tropicals I keep there for the winter. Very cold, but not hard frozen. I think they'd waste away in the house, there's not enough humidity or light for them to stay active...but they'd want to try.

Not one hundred percent sure, Kyla, but they survived under 48" deep snow piles last winter.

If cane begonia and Rotheca myricoides can go without light all winter, I'd think these could, too. As long as a plant is allowed to go fully dormant first it shouldn't be an issue. If I understand correctly, the plant isn't using light then anyway.

Makes sense when you put it that way, Chelle. Cool! I am used to gardening in milder more Mediterranean climates, so this winter thing is a bit of a new challenge to me.
