If there is something you want to chat about, go ahead and start the topic. If you want just chit-chat, that's welcome, too. It may just take a while for people to just chat - maybe our chattier people are active on other forums. I know the Iowa people tend to gather closer to spring time and when the sales and gatherings start and many of us fizzle out during the summer. I know I've been a little more active on forums for some plants I especially like and the craft areas.
The only thread I like to keep "clean" of chat is the intro so it is easier look people up after chatting with them a little more on the other threads.

Hi all, just wanted to say Hello and introduce myself. I'm Jill from Missouri. I live on a farm and operate a small retail nursery for Iris and Daylilies. I love to garden and love discovering "new" varities to put in my garden beds. I'm a little slow to get started here, but better late than never. Glad to meet all of you. Are there any other Missourians here?

Welcome Jill, I'm from Missouri too. You will find lots of daylily and iris lovers on All things Plants. Just a tip, you can scroll to the bottom of the page, click Memberlist then type your zip code to find members close to you. The closest member I have found so far is around 65 miles away from me. Have you visited gardens and nurseries in the St. Louis area? This is such a huge gardening town/state I'm surprised not to see more Missourians on All Things Plants.

Welcome, Jill! Yes, there are a lot of daylily and iris lovers, both here and at Cubits, an earlier site developed by the same guy. There is still a very active iris group over there. Looking forward to getting to "know" you!

Welcome Jill. Nope, Wisconsin here but I have lots of iris. That qualifies AND a few daylilies...................... Mostly as far as lilies go, theyr'e Orientals, Asiatics, or Orienpets.............I have the most of. Looking forward to chatting with you here.

I was closer to you when I lived in Manitoba (another "M" ) but now I'm in Calgary, so almost as far away as I can get Not that I'm trying, mind you!!

I too am from Wisconsin, between Madison & Milwaukee in a little town most folks have never heard of. I have lotsa dayliies, and a bunch of TB Iris + a few hosta and a couple of other flowers that catch my eye. Nothing too fancy, my gardens, like my house, are a "work in progress"

You know Jan we Never DID meet up at Eberts this past summer,

then you swing down south and I'm from Georgia, but these nice folks let me visit..
