CInta I'll take a photo of the cactus you sent me! I love them, I also received some from Mark (on here) and transplanted them into a great setting, but they are very tricky to work with - I kept thinking I was doing fine, but the needles were longer than expected, and also even at the base there are fine hair like needles - where is the "Ouch" emoticon! Angry I finally used chopsticks to move/set the plants where I wanted them...but what a task, I can't imagine having a whole garden full of these suckers! (I'm kidding!) Lovey dubby Thumbs up (its not a green thumb its a green bandaid on my thumb!) Rolling on the floor laughing

What I do, even with 5 ft plus cuttings, is just use old beach towels layered until the spines can not go through. Some gloves and your good to go. If the spines are huge loop a group of towels around the cacti and twist the ends until they are tense. Do this on top and bottom of latge cuttings using the tense ends of the towels as grips to easily lift in to a wheel barrel or simply to hold the thing upright while you stabilize the base.

You may loose a needle or two but it gets the job done rapidly.

I did not see anything. So all is good.

Greg, I warned you. Rolling on the floor laughing I use kitchen tongs. I sat on them one time and you want to know real pain try that mistake. The ones I sent you are like weeds if you just put them on top of the soil they root even on their side they send roots down.

T-Rev good idea with the old towels, when mine get larger I could do something like that, these are still little ones! Sticking tongue out
Bluestem, I did notice Cinta's name, but figured it was your autocorrect and it made me smile! Hilarious!

Mark it is looking great. I see some of the cuttings in there that you sent me.

The one in the last picture bottom right is a fast grower it has almost filled up the pot. I think it is tender for my climate so I am bringing it in for the winter.

I've always been so afraid of succulents and now I truly feel silly knowing the ease of care. These are the ones I currently own and I'm thinking of adding a few new ones this week.

Lovely to meet all of you!
