Another winner David. I like planting in shells. It is nice to have memories from the island vacation. At least the shells can be useful.

It really even harder to tell since the usual low light treatment at ACE left it kinda leggy, but it has been getting good sun for about 1 and a half now. I though maybe maybe a small echeveria x gibbiflora hybrid but TBH I know next to nothing about them =)

You are so lucky to live in a temperate zone.
I made one years ago.It lasted 2 years even with covering and wrapping with plastic.
Its the natural roufh look with smootheskinned plants.
My old one at the old house. I had some iron 3legged stands for Mexican pots that had round bottoms. They came in handu after the pots broke.

That is a great looking pot Jo Ann, and looked appropriately aged. It reminds me of this style I make that I call "Atlantis".

2005 was the year of Katrina for me in New Orleans. We had to evacuate and leave our little restaurtant a month and a half. What a mess when we got back. It took 4 months after to get things cleaned up to reopen. I will always remember 2005. By the way,... Thank you! Smiling

What type of business were you in if you don't mind me asking?

I had a small studio business, was a professionbal fine craftswoman for 30 years.I had many galleries all over the east and a few in Texas and Florida.
Here are some of my pieces, mostly from the 80's
This was a large tile piece for deck or patio, saucer for water made it neat for small waterplants

Thank you so much for sharing your ingenious works Jo Ann!

We actually share a few things in common.

Before we had the building on Magazine St. in New Orleans rezoned for a small restaurant which was quite popular (Southern Living Mag did an article on us under "Great Cheap eats in New Orleans" in the November 2003 issue with pictures if you can find it?) little Artsy Cafe. I operated and created art for 7 years; a small bohemian art gallery called 3000 A.D. in the same building featuring local artists works. The restaurant called Winnie's Artsy cafe offered great food in an artsy environment still filled with mine and others art. We had two kilns and produced pottery, dishware, and ceramic sculpture in that era, paintings, jewelry, sculptures (you name it! ha!). See! we do actually share a few other things in common other then gardening.

Your work was innovative and fun;...loved the sink. These days I still freelance doing Graphic designs when I get a job here and there. Maybe someday I'll join Cubits and share all the other stuff so you can see it and I can see more of yours. The sink was really cool!

This is a set of tiles I made in my "Alien Invasion" era way back when.........what was I thinking!HaHaHaHaHa! Hilarious! I still think they were cool though Smiling

I meant to ask you about your resturant.
Your creative nature is evident in many of the images you posted on the other website.
Very nice tiles.
