Okay, I will follow your instructions Cinta. I also got a set of two bowls for only $4.00, high fired ceramic. I will plant it in the larger of the two bowls.

Well, I could not help myself. I planted up a new pot for spring. I had empty pots sitting around(can't have that now) and a lot succulent cuttings that were ready to be transplanted. I should wait for spring, but what the hay. I will need to build a nice shelving system for the year. I am running out of table spots to take up with my pottery. Angel I sincerely wonder when the day will come when I say to myself.... o.k. o.k..... enough is enough.

So here she is for her 2015 debut...... I am so ready for spring.

You have the most amazing garden centers in your area Paul.
I'm with David, can't wait to see some of your own containers when the growing season arrives. You have such a great eye for composition.

Here is the matching set for the last one I posted. They will both flank a stairway on a pedestal(overturned matching pots) I will probably be bringing them in and out of the house 4 or 5 more times before the winter is over. Thumbs down Oh, well I am enjoying their color while in the house. When spring hits they should be fuller and ready to go. That's what I am going for anyway. An under the sea adventure every time I have to climb those stairs. nodding

That's beautiful--love the blue marble! What is the light green one with the russet tinge to the leaves to the left? I have it and don't know what to call it.

Thank you! I received that in a batch of unnamed cuttings a few years ago. I believe it is called sedum adolphii coppertone. It is the only match I can find. It is a very lovely color contrast with the other plants. It has taken me a few years to grow several nice clumps from that one cutting.

Thanks, Audrey--now I know. I just got it last year and it's outside in a container with a few other sedums.

Blinking outside in a container with a few other sedums? Are they not affected by the cold weather? Confused

Well, my alar-um bells have been raised at your question, Deebie. The sedums they're with are hardy here, and... to be honest, I didn't even think about hardiness since it was summer when I got it and I just planted it in with the few other succulents I have, which happen to be hardy sedums. I didn't even know this was a sedum. I'll have to check on them, since I don't remember whether they were still in evidence last time I looked in the container. The container is in a sheltered spot close to the house but we'll see...

I am all I'm all ears! to know if they are still o.k. in your zone 7. Please do share results. I will be tickled copper tone if this is one more plant I do not need to bring inside for the winter Big Grin They are planted with what I know are tender succulents but I would entertain the thought of having them in their own pot if I could leave them outside.

I grew sedums outdoors in both eastern PA & MD. I think they are happier in cold weather.

lovesblooms, do not count it out as dead yet. There are many hardy succulents that resemble the tender succulents. The many hardy succulents go dormant in the winter but come back in the summer. So watch them this summer and see if it comes back. It could be a imposter of Audrey's tender succulent.

Audrey I would not suggest you put your plant outside for the winter it probably would not hold up with any temps below 60 for any long period of time.

Jean they are happier in cold weather if they are hardy but a tender will not be happy if you let old man winter have his way with a tender succulent. I know from experience. Hilarious!
