Ha, give it a few days, it will try to take over!
I'm down to just one plant now, but it's doing very well so far.

One of these days I'll give it a try again with the GA3 and borrow Joseph's soak method.

Not a one here, and the plant is starting to look a bit sad. Next time, assuming I ever get sprouts again, I'm going to find a sunnier spot to put them and plant them in the ground.

Mine is in a good size pot but isn't very big. If I don't get flowers by the fall I think I am going to try and bring it inside.

My plant never died but it also never grew big...surely won't see a flower. Sighing!

Mine never bloomed. The vine got nice and big, but didn't produce any flowers. And then it died. I don't think they like pots. I had two vines that were growing nicely, one on a sunny indoor porch and one on a south facing porch outdoors. They both did the same thing; just started failing and finally died without producing a single flower.

They seem to be very temperamental plant from the seeds to the vine itself. Hopefully Anne will have some luck with her's in the green house.

So, so disapponting Grumbling Joseph, if you can't get them to germinate, then nobody can...but one of us MUST conquer this vine!

Has anyone tried starting these in vermiculite? I wonder if we could avoid the rot by adding a little H202 to the water used to moisten the vermiculite. You know, the closed container of vermiculite technique.

I used vermiculite the first time I tried to germinate them. I think when I try again with the GA3 I'll put some in vermiculite, soil and on a coffee filter and see who rots first.

That's what I like, Anne. Positive thinking. "see who rots first." Hilarious!
