Don't know if I'd be any help since after three packs NONE have germinated...cripes what I spent in seeds and postage I could have bought a plant Whistling But of course that's not as much fun is it Hilarious!

So far I've tried:
All nicked or scratched and~
soaking in fish emulsion
soaking in peroxide
soaking in water
vermiculite
pro-mix
paper towel and baggie now
winter sowing (still waiting)

Woofie had success. What was your protocol, Woofie? Regarding hydrogen peroxide, how much of it is used in how much water?

You know, I didn't measure the H2O2. I just filled a small plastic cup with water (probably about 2 or 3 ounces), poured a bit of peroxide into the cap, and then poured a little of that into the cup (maybe about 1/4 tsp?). The one seed that sprouted was from the batch I scratched on sandpaper and put into that solution. I'm trying the same treatment on some of these new seeds; just planted them on Sunday, along with some that I didn't do anything to. Waiting not very patiently to see what happens. Smiling

I had germination on one seed out of about 12 that I put in a wet paper towel inside a baggie...was was completely rotted and the other still firm so cleaned them off and put them in another wet towel. I plated the one with a little tail right away...keeping my fingers crossed for some good healthy growth Hurray!

It was six days ago I started them Thumbs up

This is day 9 for the ones I planted and so far nothing. Maybe I'll try some in the paper towel method, too. Smiling

Edited to add: Where is my brain?! Congratulations on your little sprout! Fingers crossed that it continues to grow. Smiling

I will too when I get around to it .. I'll try some with just plain water and another using GA3 on the paper towel.

Yea! I found a little sprout this morning! 17 days. Happy dance. Smiling

Edited to add: This was one seed out of 12 that were planted. That seems to align with the success rate Ronnie has had, doesn't it?
