Have you forgotten what dry summers are? If you were still down south you would need a lake.

There is a 49% chance of a very small amount of rain any minute now. Unfortunately, it hasn't cooled down to stay. They are calling for it to be in the 80s again in a week. I'd like a couple months where we don't have to run the air conditioner. It used to be that we could go six months without running the air conditioner.

Been raining all night long here, then a brief lull and it is back again. Loving it!
Brought out my nepenthes carnivores so they can experience some fun liquid juice too.
Last night as it continued to rain, have to move some succulents, in a protected area in my garden. Glad I was able to move other succulents indoors already yesterday.

Just letting the Adeniums, Plumerias and Caladiums enjoy these rains..the nearest thing to tropical conditions they can ever get here Smiling

It looks like the "big storm" they were predicting yesterday petered out before it got here. I think LA sucked up the last of it. Not a drop here so far.

Oh I thought it is still coming there to SoCal starting this Friday night or Saturday. Looking at our radar, the rain bands seems to be coming from our west-southwest side.

We got a trace of rain this morning. I'm guessing that San Luis Obispo County got it all. The the sun came out for a little while and it was hot and evil. (The Native Americans who lived in this area believed that the sun was evil and ate people.)

Tarev, the storm is circulating counter clockwise, so you're right that it's coming from the SW, but the mass was expected to drop further south. It didn't quite make it this far. They are still predicting rain for the weekend, so we'll see.

I think we are almost done with it. So hopefully it goes down there to SoCal. I need some dry time now, my succulents and orchids are quite soaked.

We got something like 0.13 inch of rain yesterday. That doesn't help at all, but at least it wasn't <10% humidity and windy.

Chilly 51F here this morning! It was fun watching the cloud formations yesterday, we thought it will try to rain, but it passed us. Hope it holds tonight, expecting 20% chances later. We drove around trying to see how Halloween decors are, seems a lot less this year. Even in our subdivision itself..but we still have decors and chocolates ready, just in case. Worst case scenario we will have lot of chocolates to eat till Christmas Big Grin

We got a small sprinkle yesterday, nothing noteworthy.
With any luck, my sweet peas should be sprouting any day now. Smiling

Very nice and cool here! The rains have missed our area, but it's okay, we get the cool down from the chill and snow coming from the higher elevations. Forecast of mid 40's for tonight.

Been raining a lot and getting colder. Blue skies today, which means I got out to rearrange things in the nursery pen, drag out the Y2K leftover water barrel to fill...um, you need this if the power goes out for any length of time and your well won't pump without the power....need I say more?

And move stuff around in there, pots and stuff...this may be the only sunny day I get, for all I know...two layers of sweatshirts off already.

Mike, one question...have you seen Star Wars yet?
