Thanks Lin, I didn't quite catch that. I assume the master gardener programs all have specific logos, and there must be a way to get permission to use them. I find them quite similar to the state flag badges - rather mysterious unless one is from the area (or hovers over the badge to see what the heck it means).

Yes, those badges already exist because the post that JCBodie quoted is from Feb 1, 2015. Member JCBrodie was just using that quote as an example and is requesting a new badge for California Master Gardener, which does not yet exist.

Yes, exactly. Maybe whomever does this could put a generic Master Gardener option. And, now that I'm thinking about it, can we add another badge for Edible Landscaping?

thx

@Dave will have to add the California Master Gardener badge.

We do have a couple of forums specifically for edibles:

Herbs: https://garden.org/forums/view...

Is there any way to sort micro badges from newest created to oldest, so we know which ones are recently created?

Question... If you delete a badge, can you replace it with something else? I am no longer a beekeeper. The ungrateful little winged buzzers up and left me. Glare I'm not about to start over. So, if I were to remove my "beekeeper" badge, can I replace it with another? Thanks.

We do have a fruit growers badge which would cover any and all fruits.

If we delete a badge, we can purchase another but I don't think we can trade/replace them for a different one.

I recently 'decluttered' my badges. Got rid of most of them. It was just looking messy to me for some reason. No regrets. If I want to re-amp them up I'll just buy more.

So berries would be considered fruits in this case? Thinking

bubs...
Great idea. I grew giant pumpkins for Years. The seeds for giant pumpkins is the secret for growing these beauties. Bigger than my collie. Some are super huge hundreds of pounds to a thousand.

I've got a few more badge suggestions:

Trees & Shrubs
Landscaper
Propagator (or more specific: about cloning as different than seeding)
Grower
Living Sculptures
Arboretum (so what if it's just my yard?)
Rainbow of Color and/or Year-round blooms
Water Features
I'd love to find one for a Tree Farm (as different than other types of farms)

When it comes to hobby badges, I would add:
Sewing (maybe a Stitcher? unless that makes you laugh too much)
Writer
Chef or Cook of some kind

I like the Solar Energy idea I saw someone post, which brings me to think of Renewable Energy and Recycler (including reduce & reuse).
Maybe something about Scenic Views?

Anyway, here's some ideas to play with. What do you think? Thanks for this thread!
Learning to work with Mother Nature rather than against her, such that the more I harvest with thankfulness, the more she will most gladly and willingly provide.
Specializing in a full spectrum variety of trees and shrubs, occasionally with perennials as an incidental bonus.
