Hi Neal,..yes our Bluebells go dormant after blooming though the foliage remains for well into summer,..its summer here now and mine are really only coming to full bloom,..i suspect they would grow where you are if they were not in full sun.
I was away each day for the past week,..took a notion to head off up the lake and remained overnight on a couple of nights,..very quiet on the Islands,..just myself and Molly the dog,..some pictures of various scenes from there,..one island is Hare island where the biggest hoard of Viking gold and silver found in Europe was found,..11 lbs of gold,..gold arm rings,..silver ingots,..silver arm rings,..i am always keeping my eyes open just in case i get lucky

I was given some Hollyhock seeds from New Zealand and they certainly don't have the same leaf as my usual Hollyhock,..it will be interesting to see what blooms appear.
