It almost looks like an MTB. It is lovely. Still waiting on two bloomstalks..........

Glad Zurbrigg does well everywhere. Except here in his home town! Geesh. Confused

Maybe Lloyd was a Tarheel. The only other viable possibility is that your gardening skills are less than stellar!!!!!!!!!!!! Hilarious!

Was he fully retired? I figured he introduced Durham Dream and some others while he lived here.

I've read several interesting bio's on him, but I can't locate them now, to post a link *Blush* . As to" where" an iris reblooms, I've noticed, quite often, that some will rebloom, here, in 5a, and DON'T in "higher zones" Confused ....I believe some need a "cold trigger" to spur rebloom, while some need a certain amount of "day length", anyway, it's still a long way from being an "exact science " !!

Everything I have read talks of his garden in Durham, and his work with AIS Region 4a members. There are a lot of remembrances online from when he passed in 2005.

I have another bloom stalk! Sherry sent me Grape Echo with a note she wanted to see how this one performed in my zone. Says It's almost a continuous bloom for her. Well, I planted it this summer, and it's sending up a bloom stalk! Already showing color, and I didn't notice it until today. Now I'm wondering if it will send out some increases, as it hasn't yet. I hope it doesn't bloom itself out and die.
