Wow, nice growing there Roberta. They are looking good.

Btw, pretty sure I have to give Ursula the credit for the elastic lace idea.

Roberta, the osmunda is a great idea! The roots on mine are dangling above water but they are still pretty dry. Something a little damp that they could grow into might work well. It should help when I get it outside also, it is always breezy here and hard to keep things moist.

Aww, sweet, Elaine!
I had a Bil, who had a lace factory. Sometimes he shared stuff with us which had some mistakes, I wound up with some large spools of lace. Unfortunately that slowly comes to an end. I agree, lace is strong and somewhat flexible.
I saw something similar on spools the other day at a visit to Silk City fibers in Paterson NJ, one of the last Silk manufacturers around here, they sell incredible Wool, Silk and what have you, once a month, when they open their factory to the public.

Ahhh, a real fabric store!!! I am afraid the chain fabric stores have put all the stores with grand fabrics out of business in most areas of the country.

Ohh, I may have said that wrong! I mean wool and silk fibers on cones to knit, crochet, weave etc....

Gotcha, when the mills were still open we could find wonderful things like that in SC but once production went overseas all the good places closed.

Alice I was also thinking the same thing! I am not a fan of the 2 inches thingy. I would really rather have the basket.

Elaine and Ursula, I love the lace idea too. I'm really hoping I get a nice piece of wood and to hang these Vanda but I like the idea of nothing but roots and stick.

Bert that is very smart way of keeping the humidity of the Vanda, I think Tarev does something similar.

Console yourself, Gigi, most addictions are a lot less healthy and a lot more expensive.
