Debbie, because the sun room was a add on I did not run the steam heat into that room. It was cheaper and worked out good for the plants. It is open to the kitchen so it gets the heat from that room and if I do not turn the electric baseboard heat on in that room it stays cool. All those floor to ceiling windows keep that room real chilly. I had to choose a bigger kitchen or a sun room. So this set up I got both. Eventually I am going connect a greenhouse on to the sun room. Hilarious!

Audrey at one point I had planned to move to a much warmer climate but life happened Mom got sick and had to care for her so I just brought a bigger house and stayed.

If I had moved I had planned to still keep a small house to come home to for the holidays and a little R&R through the winter. I want to see snow for the holidays and I like sitting by the fireplace with a good book and some music. Snow and Ice force me to sit down. Rolling on the floor laughing If I can get out I will not stay in and sit down. I have 3+ acre of land and I am always out there doing something. I come in rest get on the computer for awhile and go back out.

Rolling on the floor laughing on the green light, Audrey. After I came back home from visiting family on Friday, DH asked if he could help me unload the car. I told him no, I'd do it later--I had a headache. He knew what that meant and proceeded to do so anyway. Blinking I'd stopped by Lowe's on my way to Charleston and hit their clearance racks. I'd also bought some tillandsias for the first time from Hyams near Folly Beach. I just smiled guiltily, as he unloaded my goodies while Glare ing at me. Hilarious! Rolling on the floor laughing He knows that it's pointless. I'm a plant junkie. What can I say? Is there a cure for this? Shrug!

They make a pill for it but it will probably kill you or you will be afraid you will not die. But the drug company will have the money.

Conditions may apply. Rolling my eyes. Yep, I can not stand television. I even have a Tshirt that has T.Vs dropping from the sky from a war plane and it says......... Weapons of mass Distraction.

Here are some bamboo planters that I was thinking about selling in the sale later this month. I was thinking $25 but a friend told me she would be more likely to go for $20. What do ya'll think?

I was going to make a few of those little pumpkins with succulent toppers for the sale also. Have any of you guys made one of those yet? Love to see pics if you have.

Mark them at 50.00 then scratch it and say 50% off. They will pay the $25.00.

I spent 15 yrs in retail. I think 25 is a fair price.

I agree with Cinta. If you feel that your product is valuable and market it that way, people will follow suit and pay what you ask. Retailers know that and use the markup/markdown strategy a lot. It works. If you market your product at a cheap price, people in general will feel that it's not worth much or low quality and not buy it.

I like them. Would be good to know how big they are. Is the bamboo treated?

Bamboo is not treated but will stay good for a few years. They are 17 inches long and a circumference of 8 inches.

If plants are an illness, I don't want to recover either, just get sicker! ;)

The ornamental purslane stuck in the sides of this contraption have recovered enough to get back to blooming.

It is looking good Tiffany. It even looks like it has filled out some. If you can pull that through the winter it will be a fun little ball of pretty flowers come spring Thumbs up

I am really looking forward to next summer to see how your purslane turns out.

I have taken cuttings and one pot has them I am cutting the seed heads and spreading them in the pot. I hope it comes back next year. I have some double ones that are really pretty and it would be nice to start the summer with a full pot and not have to wait buying them from plugs in the Summer.

TYVM! That's what I'm dying to find out! I need to make another huge mass of that Portulaca to broaden the experiment. Even if the roots survive in the ground, the foliage won't, might as well be cuttings, hopefully ready to decorate more spaces next summer. If not, it will at least probably last a bit longer inside.

I was going to do toppers on the pumpkins but decided to do fall cigar box arrangements instead for the sale. Not sure if I really like them, but hopefully someone else will.

Yep I like them both. They should sell. People look for centerpieces for the holidays and that should last through Thanksgiving and beyond.
