Cherie, just kind of surface sowed them. This one climbed 8 feet from below the deck on the step railing and is twining into a pot. I'll see if I can save seed for you.

Mine grew but didn't bloom much until a few weeks ago. Now it seems finished blooming, days are short.

I read somewhere that you can bring it in after first frost, place it in a slightly vented ziplock bag and keep it in a cool closet for the winter. I don't know if it works 'cause I haven't tried it for that kind of plant, but that's what I do with the tubers from my begonias. Worth a shot perhaps. Smiling

The begonias.

What a wonderfully colorful basket!!! I may try that..Just dig up plant put in zip bag and leave in closet???No watering?? That sounds super easy and would sure beat having to keep a big pot in the garage...

Yeah, I think I remember they said to wrap the roots in damp peat or shredded paper. Not sure why they wouldn't rot, but you wouldn't be out anything, and you may just wind up coming out ahead.

I would think so, just because then they won't be tempted to either use moisture, or be tempted to grow.
