I just did a walk around and noticed "Black Lightening" has a bulge. Thumbs up Didn't notice any other bulges on the other Iris.
The weeds are growing nicely. Grumbling Thumbs down but the Iris are looking really good too : nodding

I have some daffodil bulges. That is about it. My neighbor's mom planted a bunch of bulbs last year. They are coming up now and are tulips. Loads of them close together. Hmmmmmmmmm. Anyway, they are suffering from the same problem that Carl and Bonnie mentioned happening to some of their iris.... The bloom is full size but right at the ground height. No real stalk. They are an absolutely beautiful shade of magenta, but I did a double take when I first saw them.

My daffodils are in full bloom and they are beautiful. The early ones bloomed with the late ones so it is quite a color and size array.

The little iris that had a short stalk always has a short stalk. It is a tiny little guy by nature. It is the shortest MDB I grow but not the smallest bloom on an MDB.

A fee of my hyacinths are stumpy, bloom right out the ground. Others are tall drumsticks pumping out perfume.

Daf are just fine. Somehow spring is on a normal schedule from my pic dates over the last few years.
Gimme it and I'll grow it!

All the bulb flowers are blooming across the street - snow drops, daffs, tulips and such. His garden has southern exposure and they always come up earlier than mine.

I have daffs coming up in the new bed I made in back of the house. Since I didn't plant any, they must be long dormant bulbs that were buried deep when I tore everything out. That means they are extremely deep now since I put a good 10 inches or more of soil on top of the existing soil! Be interesting to see what they are.

Two more tall bearded irises opened

Anxious is a rebloomer by Ben Hager.
It rebloomed this fall and winter.
This is spring bloom because it has 4 or 5 stalks.

Berry Blush is an older iris by Bernice Hamner.
It also has 4 or 5 stalks.

I have lots of flowers about to open. All together about 40. Here is a few pictures I took with my cell phone. They are not great pictures. Excuse the weeds, I am trying to get wedding done between just getting over sick, wind, work, etc.

They r part of everyone's garden somehow/somewhere. We all don't like them (speaking collectively).

All the ones that are flowering were seperated back towards the end of September each one had.maybe 4 or so and the rest from the few pots went into a bed that had about 44 or so. The big bed is up to about 75 and who know about all in the pots (alot of increases). The ones in the large bed has no flowers, and they all get about the same amount of light. These morning and the other midah/evening.
