My babies have survived the 90 deg. heat, the heavy rains and my lack of attention and they actually look good. I can't wait until they get old enough to bud. Sighing!

Lovely! I just didn't get as many blooms this year as I have in the past. Not sure why. I have an Ackermanii and it didn't do much in the way of blooms this year.

Thanks Carol.
There are 5 registered Naranja hybrids. The one above is by Harry Johnson and was reg: in 1960.
It is a pendant grower that blooms here a few times a year.
Out here today, another that blooms more than once a year.
WEDDING BELLS.

The only one blooming here now is E. Oxypetalum, and I'm in bed before it opens up, so never see it open.

My E. Oxypetalum bloomed last night for the first time! I got leaf cuttings 3 or 4 years ago from a friend. She only knew it as a white , night blooming cactus, so I wasn't even sure what I had. I am hooked! I bought a NOID dark pink day bloomer from a nursery a couple of months ago. It's doing well, so I'll be anxiously waiting for it to bloom. I only hope it doesn't take 3 or 4 years!

Sondra - Beautiful. I have numerous pots of E. Oxypetalum. How did you like the fragrance?

The scent wasn't very strong. Maybe because there was just the one bloom and it was probably on the small size. I did like what scent there was. It kind of smelled like a Lily to me.

The scent here is overpowering at the peak of it's bloom. I love the scent! Wished they could bottle it up as a perfume. Smiling

Out here now. Always an early bloomer, an untidy grower that you don't see around.
