Beautiful blooms, Ceci. Lovey dubby I hope that one day soon my cuttings will be mature enough to bloom, and then I can post photos of the blooms. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the ones posted here. nodding

Do people ever sell epi cuttings (or try to) here on ATP/NGA?
Also, do epi pictures posted here ever make it to the home page where other new or especially nice pictures are posted?
Just asking.

If you post epi pics they always show up on the home page right after you post them. They move off fast, so you have to check right away. The pics that people favorite the most show up in the favorite pics on the front page. A pic has to get a lot of thumbs to end up there.

I forgot to mention that I would buy epi cuttings here if they are posted in the classifieds group. They are hard to find at my big box stores.

@Tx_Flower_Child and @PlantManager, check out the Classified and Plant and seed trading forums. One of our members, Ibartoo, is currently offering epi cuttings for sale to recoup funds to rebuild her greenhouse that was destroyed by Hurricane Matthew. You can also t-mail her for a list of what she has available.

@Deebie and @plantmanager, right after I logged off I remembered that I had seen that DrDawg is selling an epi. D'oh! And a whop on the side of the head. But I had errands to run so decided not to logon until errands (or some of them) were done.

I did know about lbartoo. She's been having a tough time thanks to Hurricane Matthew. She posted a list of the named epis in another group. And even tho I need another cutting as much as I need another hole in my head, I heard one calling my name and then it was all she wrote.

I have only seen 1 epi in any big box or local garden center here in Dallas. So I did buy the one I saw and it's the one that I was using for my profile picture. The funny thing was that I had gone to that nursery for who knows what and was about to leave when I spotted an epi in a gallon pot. It wasn't labeled and I eyeballed it a little, but based on growing lots of them in Austin, I knew it had to be an epi. No one at the nursery knew what it was. They had just unloaded a shipment of cacti and succulents from Austin (bingo!) and it was a one off. Didn't even have a price on it yet. I reluctantly told them what a jewel they had and they sold it to me for $15. Not bad for a gallon size plant. Later I went back and showed them some pictures of the blooms.

I'm currently making cuttings of various epis b/c they either need haircuts before coming inside when/if the weather turns or because Ms. Clumsy here has knocked some plants over. Ouch! Hadn't thought about listing them here. Don't know why. But @lbartoo has more to sell than I do. Some real beauties.

Looking for anything in particular plantmanager? :D

I promised a photo the other day. I was beginning to think it was never going to open. I thought it was going to be the medium pink one, but it turned out to be the pink and orange that I think might be Magic Carpet. This is it's second off-season bloom. Not the best photo. It was not presenting itself in the best place.

Here's a better photo of the bloom. It has my hand in the picture though.

A nice bloom off season Carl. I think it's fine to have your hand in pics. Gives you an idea how big the bloom is.
All of a sudden we had a 37c day yesterday. Epis are not too happy with that!
Here are some out today

Hi Everyone,
Been crazy busy with hurricane clean up this past week. I am making slow progress, but any progress is good.
It will be a while before it is finished, but I have other priorities right now, so I am okay with it not happening instantaneously. LOL
It will be an ongoing project.

@ plantmanager, I saw your request, I am selling some plants and cuttings because I am having to downsize my collection to make room for them in my hubbys workshop for the winter. Conditions are less than ideal, but Hurricane Matthew destroyed my greenhouse and it will be spring before I can replace it. I hate the thought of composting the plants and cuttings, so I am trying to sell some to make room and help to restore my greenhouse. I will list some in the classifieds today and send you a treemail when it is done.

@TX flower Child, I hope you have received your package. Please let me know if eveything is okay.

@ Deebie, I have not forgotten you. I will try to get your package out this week. I will let you know when it is on the way.

The best news is my Ackermanii has surprised me with a late season bud. Hurray! I can't wait to see it open.

Hope everyone has a fabulous day. I am headed to the greenhouse.
