Well.. nothing like a good Christmas fight...
first trying to make mothers computer from'98 do something... I got out a 2 x 4 and still couldn't get it's attention.. it was just real slow.. and the internet very spotty... so a new machine... new scanner/ printer... and wireless router... then the old cable modem also a '98 wasn't keeping up...so I wnet in and got a new one... but it wouldn't work right... so after a service call...and the guy saying they hadn't switched me over as that server had been out... [ so why not tell me when I got it they couldn't switch me.. ] any way got her up and running again... @ 90 she had been missing her computer working right... but now she's good to go.. and she can send out pictures of her Bengals and coccers to prospective owners... she had them coming in and out before Christmas... with just her telephone and the Nashville ad that goes out on the internet to the south east.. she had them in from 4 states..
so this is mothers greenhouse...

well there's many cats..all have access to other things so they leave the plants alone. mostly... they will venture to the pot if their litter box isn't kept kind of clear... I had to shooo one out of a bouganvilla the other day... it was one I planted in the greenhouse some 35 years ago... and will coverthe roof if left un clipped... so there's not much the cat useing it as the box will do to it ... it having grown through the pot it was in.. through the concrete floor... and into the warm soil underneath... it's more to keep the dirt smelling sweet.. well sweeter...
yes.. she has a good number of brugs... these were the cuttings she took last year..growing out... there's still dozens of them in the ground... that aren't mulched or cared for ... other than to have them welll fed in the spring... with manure and cut back come winter ... but she's also interested in more... oh she wants some doubles also.. and her yellow isn't as bright as Lugers summer dream she saw pictures of... and the desires go on ... now off to redo some wireing in the cattery ... she had that built after I left... so it's not my wireing I'm redoing... an outlet has a bit of a short... when I finally found the problem... one plug is OK with 120 volts and the other is sitting there giving out 55 volts... an easy fix... hope it clears up the other fixtures further down the line...after I repair this one... well editing... it fixed everything on that line .. and we found a few other things... now repaired... and the girls room now has heat...
so here they are growing out of the fescue

this is like one I'm taking home... a snow leopard bengal

Thumb of 2011-12-29/GordonHawk/dd2b43
but they come in a few types... all of which her cats carry the genes for... the regular spotted bengal... the marble bengal... and the snows here...part of the same litter

well...I can meet you in West VA... or KY that's about as close as I run..
for the gas ... you could get one near by... there's a bunch of outdoor cats that about jump you on going outside...you'd think they were starved for affection... or perhaps they are just addicted to massage... MMMMM
I'm sure although any might be missed...each already holds a place in the hearts here.. and they move on...

oh... mother likes to take long cuttings and has them sit in the same water most all winter... till she gets time to plant them... although they are likely a month past when I'd make sure they were in soil .. and she's likely a month or two away from it...

Ah, moms.............ya gotta love 'em.

Grands have been here today. Austin had 3 pairs of pants with holes...........I just got done putting some iron-on tape on them. I could have patched them, but it wouldn't have been as neat as the iron-on ones. My patching of jeans is only suitable for farm use. LOL

Well I was told by another brug master (such as it were) that the cuttings could stay in water till the spring season when they are set out. But I was told to change the water at least once a week and no less than once a month. IDK.

well... yes Cherie.. I was told you had to change the water ... she just adds water to it as it evaporates... and doesn't get them rotting like I do... before I thought it was her using a galvanized trough for rooting... but she has the same result with the plastic bucket.... it can only be the bright sunlight... in the greenhouse... that helps... she says she'll do it right away now...

You know? I think it is simply different strokes for different folks that is the key. All it ever boils down to is different means for different areas. I know some of the cuttings I had rooted in water an transplanted are really looking sad and a few I Have lost. I think it is the plant in question really............ I will do things by trial and error. That is what works for me.

Oh I love that dark striped kitty in the middle of the three cats.Such beautiful colors its wonderful for your Mom to still be able to get around and take care of the cats and her flowers at 90. My granny is 96 and still lives alone and cares for herself and her place. My son mows her yard in the summer but she would rather do it. She just stopped driving a while back but we bought her a golf cart which she goes to the post office and grocery store on. Gotta love small towns. She also drives it to church lol. she grows a few flowers out in the yard, but fell last year and I can see it has slowed her down

My "Wretched Mess" never blooms during the summer.............if it gets buds it drops them. Looks skanky and, well, wretched. However, in the g'house it seems to just take off. Blooms and looks lovely. but, since it was still skanky looking and a bit "mite-y", I lopped it back. Wasn't it gorgeous, tho?

gordon you are so blessed to still have your Mom. Mine died at age 99. a few years back. To think I would still be able to plant and take care of Brugs at 80 would be awesome....your Mom is wonder woman.
Love the kittens!
Did you get your postage?
