From what I understand from a grower I've talked to Wretched mess is typically at double which on occasion will sport triples and one time even a quadruple was trying to form. The one I have keeps its name to a tee. The blooms are always tattered and a typical mess.

Love that bloom coloring also Gordon.

You gave me a nice size plant. It grows it buds then throws its buds all over the place. Will get 20, 25 buds on it, it throws all but one and it opens shredded, I cut it way down when I brought it in. Hoping it will do something for me this coming season. Started a couple of the cuttings for back ups.

Just when I think I know Eds reaction to things he plays with my head, Had told him yesterday morning the heater has to come in as soon as the temps drop below 50. Went out about 6 it was 52 went back an hour later it was 54. Didn't say any more about it when I got up at 2:30 and it was 58. Got up a bit ago to take him to work and it was 57 out there., Got him to work and he said Uh Cherie, when the sun comes up you might want to turn the heater out in the sun room off. What? What? He put it in there before we went to Sporties for the Badger game . Where was I? Getting Ariana ready for dance class. Sure enough got home and it is in there. He put the long space heater in there and kinda weaved it through the plant pots,, I never even noticed it............

Just when you think you know them they change on you.

Gordon Im glad it arrived safely..Other birds will use it if you have no martins.. I have wrens use mine all the time and they are lovely song birds.. Its best hang it somewhere protected to make it last longer or to occasionally apply a urethane coating to it..I added some yarn strips inside mine the birds used it to make their nest with..No rush on the cuttings Gordon....Cherie I would love to have a cutting this spring, thanks for the offer..Anna, tossed them outside, how dare you lol...I dont know what I'll do with them but I have a bucket full of cuttings from Isabella and the noid yellow. I gave some away this fall guess I'll find someone who wants more this spring..
