Here is another photo of my red unknown tree peony. I read a hint to put your camera on the "food" setting in order to get truer colors. I also decreased the light exposure to try to correct the burn on the earlier photo. Here is my results. It really is red with just a bit of blue it.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I just love peonies so much.

Lg, thanks for the tips on the camera. I will try it is a few months when I have blooms. Rolling on the floor laughing No. I will have some of the spring ones, like the crocus which are blooming now, by next month. While the weather during the day is lovely, it still gets down into upper 20's and lower 30's at night so that may be slowing things up.

Here you go, Karen. I have had it since 2011. It is in quite a bit of shade.

Is Fragrant Jade really fragrant? I want a large white blooming TP, so many pretty ones, maybe fragrance should be my deciding factor....What do you think, Yan?

It's fragrant indeed, cold hardy as well, should be good for your zones too.

Tracey, it's fragrant some what but not really good. I think most TP are not that fragrant except the Rockii variety. But it's a good one to have in your garden.

It's about 8 years old. I got it from treepeonygarden.com as a two years old plant. I really missed treepeonygarden, I wish I have order more plants from them last year.
