This grumpy thread mostly deteriorates down ( or improves ) to comedy. Just like the things we put in the ground ..they may suffer from shock at first but generally things improve PDQ.

today I am grumpy because I have a cold and it is like a sauna outside. I have new lilies from Ken and I water faithfully ...now I got to go out and breathe through double misery!

No it is viral. I do have tree allergies.. and know the difference.

My DH got sick a few days before ...but I never catch anything...so a surprise.

I have friends who work the respiratory ICU and they say this year unusual with late season bronchitis and asthma precipitated by colds and sinus infections.

Luck of the draw. I guess.

and Rosie - use Vicks on the bottom of your feet at night, and put on socks. Trust me, it works........ old wive's take, but it WORKS

As a child, Mamma used to smear Vicks under my nose when I was stuffed up. I hated that smell!

Rosie, just eat some hot peppers (or some wasabi) -- that'll clear your head out quicker than any drugs!

The thing I like about vicks is that it's external - no drugs. And putting it on your feet doesn't get it next to your nose Ken - even YOU could do this!!!
