Sandy ...

"Lyn -- "To a bear, a garbage can is a garbage can. Cleaning up the mess is not that awful. Basically, for me, it's cleaning up litter. It's not all gooey and stinky and I have bags down there to re-bag all of the stuff the bear has spread around. It's just another chore."

I guess that's the upside to "washing your garbage." Big Grin "

The plan is not to temp the critters ... Hilarious! Most of the time it works just fine.
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.

I am struggling to stay grumpy rather than sad. That should tell you how my day is going.

Hot and humid with a hurricane headed straight for us. The dogs began the day with a fight which involved making a mess for me to clean up. They are fine now. I'm not.

More pain which is the biggest problem. I've learned not to pretend it isn't there as that tends to lead to accidents. Hoping the pain killer will do its magic.

The worst part about being this incapacitated is the rise of the "hairballs" - painful old memories which can be kept at bay with activity but bubble up when it's hard to move.

This, too, shall pass.

I've begun washing colored bottles which have been gathering dust since I moved here ten years ago as we have had other priorities, like roofs. However, I can sit and wash bottles and plan how they may be used to fill in a large window space while still leaving room for a window which can open.

The new puppy Sugar is a handful. Cannot understand that the older dogs don't want to play with her which is what started the fight earlier. She is into everything (!!!). On the up side Inky Dink is really happy to have a playmate - the two of them run around a lot. They usually begin the day with a wrestling match played on my head.

Grumpy seems to be the word for the moment. I will wash some bottles and cheer up. Thanks for listening.

Sorry to hear that, Katie ...

Another rough patch has hit here. Just a down hill slide. I am so tired of them. Yeah, it will pass. I am at the stage where I don't want to do the work to make it pass. I will. Right now, it just doesn't feel like it's worth it. Oh, well, I know better.

I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

I just cut a loaf of homemade whole wheat bread (ground the wheat in my grain mill............NO preservatives of any kind in it). Here, have a piece with some butter and honey on it. It's still warm! Green Grin!
