Oh, I do have something else to share though. When I was at Costco the other day I took some pictures. To me, it looks like the Costco's I remember from the US with one big exception. There is a water filled cave in the parking lot. These are common in this area, called cenotes, and they apparently hit one while building the parking lot so they landscaped it.
You used to be able to walk around it but apparently someone tried to commit suicide by jumping into it a few months ago so now it is fenced off.

I'm back at work today finally. Still coughing and the head cold is still there but the fever is gone. I should be floating away according to all of the fluids I've forced in the last couple of days Still can't talk much, throat doesn't hurt, just raspy from the coughing I really wanted to go out in the afternoon yesterday to get the peonies in the ground that came while I was gone but just too worn down. They'll have to wait until the weekend then I will finish planting the peonies and the bulbs. Also, some varmint ate a bunch of plants in my new Prayer Garden while I was gone Two climbing roses, 2 tall phlox, ALL of my Heaven's Gate Coreopsis, and a couple of others but I can't remember what they were. I just hope they all come back in the Spring
Glad to hear you're feeling better, Ginny! That reminds me...I need to get my flu shot! I've had my Prevnar13 (pneumonia) shot, but need to check with the doctor on whether they have the right flu shot for seniors now. If I don't get these, my DD might start telling me about the patients she's treated for complications of flu and pneumonia in the hospital! She has her ways of getting Mom to comply.
Nicely landscaped cenote, BTW! Drowning seem like a poor choice on suicide methods!

Jonna, we've taken day trips when we're in Mexico to cenotes and been able to go swimming in them. It's quite invigorating. No, not cold, but the water is so "fresh". When our DS#2, his GF, and our 2 grands went to Mexico 2 years ago, we told them that they had to take that day trip. They had a little "zip-line" that you could hang onto with a handle, zip out over the water, then let go. The grands had a ball doing it. Well, the adults did too.

I have been wearing progressive lenses for years, with the right prescription, lenses made correctly, and in the right size frames, which is very important, they are fantastic, I have no problem with distance, reading the computer monitor then looking down at the keyboard, checking my watch, reading a book, or the newspaper which I love to read every morning.
@Linda TX8 When DH and I had our flu shots earlier this month they asked us if we wanted the regular one or the one recommended for seniors, which apparently was a better shot for us.
I am so stiff and sore today from dragging limbs and branches cleaning up the yard, I think I will take a break tomorrow and do something less strenuous.
@flaflwrgrl Great news! To be put on the 5 year plan was a good thing. Last year, at my annual physical, my doctor and I discussed the colonoscopy which was due and we decided that the risk outweighed the advantages, so that is one thing I won't be doing in the future.

Our doctor said he stops the colonoscopies on his patients when they reach 75. I don't know if medicare has a cut off date where they won't pay for it.

I had precancerous cells several years ago and, after 4 colonoscopy's in two years they got it all, but my mom had rectal cancer so I was high risk. Now I'm back to every 5 years instead of yearly, and then 3 yrs. Definitely glad of that one! Not sure when they will tell me I've had enough of them. And to think I got a birthday card last year that said I'm at the age of sharing my health problems - yup I'm there
@plantmanager I imagine they have a cutoff for a lot of things that we don't know about.

@plantmanager I hate to sound cynical, but they're probably hidden in thousands of pages of regulations!

Grumpy because I pulled out a bunch of t posts and my upper back is protesting a bit. On top of that it appears I shrank some nice button up shirts of mine this morning because I sure don't remember them being this tight and I know for a fact I haven't gained any weight. So much for a nice shirt for dinner with friends.
DH has gone in twice for an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy this year. The first time, his heart was "tachy" and his B.P. was too high. So he spent most of the day in the E.R. The second time, they did the Endoscopy, but his colon was not cleaned out good enough, so there will be a third try. We're tired of this! Don't know why they didn't do the full 2-day prep on him...my GI guy always does a 2-day prep!

For people like Ginny & myself who have had a family member with it (my father had colon cancer) then we have the stepped up protocol @ every 5 years unless they find something.

They stop mammograms at 75 - at least at Kaiser. They found my breast cancer when I was 74!!
I had a bad fall last night. My right over-eye area is bruised and swollen. I've had cataract surgery so was very lucky my eye was spared. But knees, shoulders, arms and lots of other things are sore.
I need to take it easy. Not much choice today as I can hardly move.
Geez Katie, you better take it easy & try to stay near a wall or something you can slide down at least. I'm glad you weren't hurt worse in the fall!
