Feeling somewhat better this afternoon I started thinking about all the "stuff" that needed to be done. I made an anti-grumpy move: I got pen and paper and wrote "THINK" at the top. Then I listed the top 2do things, like laundry that has been soaking for a few days (high priority), trimming the okra (low priority but easy and can be alternated with laundry), etc. I am easily distracted under normal conditions and right now conditions are nowhere near normal. After writing 4-5 things down I was able to work for 2-3 hours, get the laundry done and the dogs fed - the top two on the list. One casualty - I left a plate of cooked chicken legs too close to the edge of the kitchen counter and the devil dog Sugar helped herself - to all of it. She managed to land the plate on a rug rather than the concrete floor and it didn't break. There was dry food with chicken drippings and one chicken leg for the other four dogs. I opened an emergency can of canned stew for dogs and split it among the final four.
Tony will not be here tomorrow. After his being here every day while I was gone I did not ask for an explanation. Anita will be here, I think.
I am feeling much better but am going to pat myself on the back and call it a day. You all may think I don't pay attention to your advice but I really do. At least sometimes.
My eye is turning all kinds of colors but the swelling is down, my vision is fine and my energy is returning. DON'T PUSH IT, KATIE!
hugs, katie
