I am with you about the desserts. I am thinking I need to run along the side of the RV instead of sitting in it. I better cut back ASAP

My socks are getting tight.

Tonight I made a cup of tea..,lemon zinger..it is great hot or cold.

I have been indulgent on the sweets too much this holiday season also. Pretty soon I will get back on the weight loss plan but not quite yet.

I am thinking mashed potatoes and turkey will be dinner tonight. Yumm.

Rita, they are like scalloped potatoes only easier...sliced potatoes, salt, pepper some garlic and onion powder and parsley if you like, put in casserole dish and add milk to cover. Dot top with as much butter as you like. Bake about an hour at 350 until tender and brown on top.
We ate them when I was a kid all the time only my mom never added the garlic or onion my dad just liked plain food. I just always knew them as milk potatoes. They are very good and better leftover because they get a bit creamier.

Lamb, quinoa, broccoli, and squash. Getting tired of lamb so I froze the rest to make a stew later in the month. Hilarious!

Those milk potatoes sound good!

I ate oatmeal and toast for dinner number 1. Haven't decided on dinner number two. Probably some chicken that I have baked, sautéed green beans, and avocado slices. I am trying to slowly ramp my way up to 3200 calories a day while slowly adding workouts, in order to attempt to put on weight. I'm tired of being so lanky.
Meanwhile, Matt is eating salmon and rice for dinner. He is on 7 small portioned meals a day with small amounts of natural sugar to keep his metabolism going throughout, while keeping him in a caloric deficit, because he wants to lean down.
If only I could give him some of my metabolism.

Chicken burritos with rotisserie chicken that I got for half price this past weekend.

Check the cold case at the deli and sometimes you can get them for half price. I snatch them up and we put them in the freezer for a later dinner.

Margaret, tree mail will be out your way soon.

Rosie, at least the socks here are still just fine. Smiling And life preservers rings are supposedly good to have around. Right?

Rita and Pam -- I had your dinners a bit combined tonight. A turkey roll with avocado (lettuce, tomato, jalapeño, too), and a mashed potato pancake. I likely should have done some more veggies to have on the side, but there was this bag of Tostito chips that was basically down to crumbs... Don't have to worry about that any longer. Pshew.

You should all try the "milk potato"
I do use skim milk in mine because that is just what I drink so I have it on hand...my mother only used whole milk or probably 2% as we got older so they were much creamier. I'm just used to the skim.
James you of course will need the whole milk for the extra calories nodding

I make leaks that way Ronnie..but with heavy cream and cheeses too. Tender and delicious.

Sean..admit it...your socks are as old as the hills. That is why they don't get tight when all else does.

Yes, life preservers worn around the middle are dandy ...especially when one is in elementary school and about to leap into a nicely filled pool on a rip roaring hot summer's day. Better if that "preserver" has a horses head or similar to hold onto. Oh, how much youthful lung air went into blowing those things up.

Confused Is the new thread The thread "Chow time 2017" in Sandbox forum supposed to replace this thread or is it just another food thread? I find if there are too many threads about one subject everything gets repeated and they soon become dormant. Shrug!
