Some stuff in bloom -
One of the teensiest Orchids I grow is this Lepanthopsis astrophora 'Stalky', I noticed it is in full bloom right now, but if you blinked, you missed it.
Encyclia bractesens opens a few spikes
The Trichoglottis rosea v. breviracema keeps on opening, the little flowers are very cute
Dendrobium Nestor starts up with its nice scent of Raspberries.
And Barkeria melanocaulon is blooming since last September, the spikes keep on branching.

Me too, especially the part about the scent of raspberries! The tiny little Lepanthopsis is a treasure, too. Looks like the violets I was walking on this morning in my daughter's lawn. (I apologized and picked a few to bring into the house, what a scent from tiny flowers!)

Sigh, I need to go to the mountains and smell violets. I sort of remember what the scent is like, it's one of those things in the back of my brain but those gray cells are going fast so a quick reminder is in order.

Jim, the Den Nestor should do well for you. For me the trick is always to give it an as long as possible growing season, so the canes grow longer. That part might be easier for you. I keep it in full sun high up in the greenhouse in the Winter.
Just a bit of news. I went to the orchid board meeting today and found out I had been nominated to be the president of the Tampa Orchid Club. The new slate of officers will come before the assembled membership for a vote at the April meeting. You all don't have to call me Mr. President. Jim will be fine among us friends.

Aww, darnit I was hoping Your Excellency or The Grand Poobah would be acceptable. You'll be great at that post, Jim. Just be careful to delegate and not do everything yourself as "super volunteers" tend to do. You've already got lots on your plate.
