Judy - I can start some CC for you. I have 4 different ones...I can put a start of each in a pot if you like.

More dibs, pretty please!

Chameleon plant from Shy_Gardener (for my water garden pots; should be able to keep it under control), Cinnamon Fern from RickM, and Bronze Fennel from Catmint... Thank you!

I also wanted to mention that I will be adding 2 markers to my list: Industrial Sharpie markers (resistant to high temperatures and some chemicals but no longer resistant to UV -- good laundry markers though, for writing names in things) as well as Extreme Sharpie markers available (these are the new ones that are resistant to UV and they are the ones you now want for outdoor plant labels ). Both are fine tip (like a crayon tip), both are $1 each, please be sure you ask for the right one!

I will try to get a similar price on silver metallic sharpies, which are excellent for writing on black nursery pots (generally lasts 2-3 years outside), but I don't have them yet.

Please note that all the things I'm putting on the list with prices are good deals or group buy extras that I'm passing along AT COST. I'm not trying to make a profit or trying to treat the swap list as a store front. I'll have more regular (no cost) items to add nexet month, too.

Sally, happy to spot the Celandine poppy seedlings you're offering! I have 1 plant growing in an awkward spot near my potting bench, keep thinking I'll try to move it only after I get some seedlings going... so far, no luck!

Are you asking about the TRUE Christmas Cactus or referring to all of them
under this name?
I DO have one REAL Christmas cactus. It has red blooms.

I do not have any starts potted and growing--but I will "donate" a section
of it to you if you really want it.

Last year was very hard on all CC's--not just for me--but also for JB who has been
our guiding light and educator in the care and growing of Holiday Catus as well as X-Mas Cactus.

I have (had) Holiday cactus of many different colors. All beautiful!
It had to be the weather, or something else, that made all my, and JB's, Holiday cactus
not doing well. She had so many--and I did too, We shared and sent these to each other.
Many of the stronger bloomers just did nothing to rave about.

What I have that seems to be doing OK are the starts of the pink Easter cactus. ????
NOT sure if these are really IT--as they have not bloomed yet. Otherwise--the rooted cuttings
are doing very well.

Here is my true X-Mas cactus in better days. I only have this one.

I still think of them all as Christmas Cactus, despite your and JB's attempts to teach me the difference! I only have the hot pink one.

Well let's put it this way...of the four I have...three have identical shaped leaves - NONE have red blooms. Sooooo....I can take cuttings off of at least 2 of the 3 pointy shaped 'leaved' ones which are both shades of pink. I don't think my little apricot colored blooming one is big enough nor the 1 rounded shaped 'leaf' one I just picked up last week. I think I will name them myself...my grandmother's (I've had for 23 years and it blooms whenever it feels like it...much like her) will be named after her. It will now be called the Molly Cactus (she'll love that). The other I rec'd from a patient about 10 years ago and despite my neglecting it at times it continues to remain alive and bloom for me. It will be referred to as the Patient Cactus. Rolling on the floor laughing Happy to shove starts from either or both into soil.

I think the rounded leaf one is the "true" Christmas cactus, the pointy ones are Thanksgiving cactus, and then there are the other epis known as Easter Cactus... maybe we can call them all Holiday Cactus? (except the Molly Cactus LOL)

I have not made any effort to teach anyone anything here.
Learning is optional and voluntary.

However--if someone asks me for a cutting , it would be helpful to know which
version or color he or she wants. G.

@Chantell, I would be honored to have a Molly cactus and a Patient cactus if you get a chance!
"Buzz Magenta" was the most fragrant of the buddleias I sniffed this am(Ruby, Nanho, Ellens Blue). Maybe @CAMofMD will weigh in here on fragrance. Current wafting fragrance in my yarden is from Joe Pyes and 'Ruby Spice' clethra (Summer Spice bush) Can't wait to inhale tuberose again. Thanks for offering a clump. If no cluster avail a bloom spike will do to 'take me away to Hawaii'! Ah...

Wouldn't it be fun to bring bouquets and floral arrangements from our gardens for the Gift Table?
@Donnerville and @5601Lisa have done some lovely ones.

@Robinbunch5 The agastaches are blooming now. Tree mail or call if you'd like to get them sooner!

@EvergreenMike Wow thanks! My own pack, cool.

IMHO Bressingham Blue Hosta being offered by @RickM is a wonderful...LARGE hosta worthy of a specimin spot. Takes a while to grow big, but of good substance. Looks a little weird at times while it fills in to its final size and form. Looks wonderful in a half whiskey barrel ...filling it completely. Also from RickM Golden Tiara Hosta. I love to use this hosta to outline a shady bed as it stayes small and lights up area. Even young it forms rosette of leaves. Easy to divide. Great as filler in containers, too.

Sorry Folks,

Didn't mean to not answer... I'm not used to reading all the posts.... D'Oh!
But I see I can watch this discussion, so that should help....

To Robin, Yes the Rose a Sharon are white with red centers. How many can I bring you????

To Jill, I love the Kerria, and your Kerria Japonica Flore pleno looks awesome, but I'm trying to get
out of bushes and ground cover...So, I'd better pass on that one.. Hope you like the Chameleon plant.
I truly think it would the best ground cover in the world, if it would stay small, and not want to take over
other plants air space... Sure you don't want some yellow flags for your back plant row? They are long
blooming and vivid yellow.

Does someone have any cuttings of solid Red Christmas Cactus?

Yes, those Holiday cacti are confusing and there are many hybrids. One thing is sure- when they bloom, the 'Easter" cactus flower is distinctly different (daisy like shape) from the 'winter' cacti (that weird asymmetrical thing).

I have some that are fuchsia/white, and peach/white and some others
can't remember what colors, but I put them all in the same pot. D'Oh!
Different folks gave me cutting at about the same time a year or two ago.
and I just stuck them in a pot together... But they never all bloom at the same
time... Oh yeah, that was the effect I was trying for.... hehe

Anyway... If anyone wants some pot luck holiday cactus cutting. Be glad to
bring some...

Oh, I also have an Easter cactus (color unk - I'm thinking probably pink that's
what they had the most of) that I got at end of season clearance. Be glad to
split and share.... if anyone's interested.

Gita, I learn from you all the time, whether or not you are in "teaching" mode! Some common names just stick in my head, though, even if they are not quite accurate, and Christmas Cactus is one of them. Is your ric rac cactus an easter cactus, or another type of epi?

Pot luck holiday cactus cuttings would be fun!

If seedlings survive my various absences, should have some baby Lippia plants to share... they have super sweet leaves, similar to Stevia but slightly different flavor and less well known.
