LOL Who can say or indeed has ever said "My bog is overcrowded"!

Sally, I believe my friend said she got hers from the Tuckahoe. She has hers in a large tub water garden. It is cool to see an individual plant...but WOW on seeing a stand or colony or grove or patch or expanse!

Judy, if it's still available, I'd love to try the Lizard's Tail. I'm hoping it would overwinter in a "pocket" water garden -- I have one 22" pot that is now in more shade than sun (lilacs grew!), and it might be just perfect there. I could probably take a piece of it inside over winter also... I moved my big tank downstairs this spring and plan to use it to overwinter tropical water lilies.

Sometimes I think my yard *is* a bog! Except of course when it's dry as a bone... Sighing! The weather around here.... Sighing!

I hear you! I had a veggie garden bog last week, when an irrigation timer got stuck "on" while we were away... Martina's boys didn't discover it for a day or two.

Newly available: 8 plugs of English Chamomile (Chamaemelum Nobile 'Treneague'), the non flowering variety of Roman Chamomile. You may be thinking, but aren't the flowers the most important part of chamomile? Unlike German Chamomile, the leaves of Roman Chamomile have the the same flavor, fragrance, and medicinal use as the flower. In addition, Roman Chamomile is a perennial, and often evergreen. For those that enjoy fragrance and herbs, these are a wonderful choice between pavers or as a very low traffic lawn because of their low growth and lack of flower. Depending on interest, I'd be happy to root more cuttings.

Hey, Mike! Are you interested in sempervivum? I read recently that they are edible (tasty, maybe not so much), and they're definitely evergreen. We're putting together a group order from semp. collector ValleyLynn: The thread "Mid-Atlantic forum group semp buy" in Classifieds and Group Buys forum

“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

@critterologist, I'm struggling as it is to get all my plants in the ground this season. Thank you though!

@Catmint20906, @Chantell, I'll see if I can get some more cuttings to root. Luckily, Roman Chamomile is fast and easy to propagate. I'm hoping I can get 8 plugs each, so you can start out with a decent patch (they're so small they aren't really suited to single plantings).

New Semps can live quite nicely over the winter in those dollar store "window box" containers... Angel

OK -- followup 'tufa or concrete workshop at my place! I have some semps and similar plants very happy in small hypertufa containers. This spring, Donner & I were discussing trying to do containers with draped, concrete-saturated cloth, but we haven't gotten at it yet.

We'll need a follow-up gathering anyway, if we order amaryllises this year.

Would anyone like my hardy kiwi? I don't know if it is male or female but I only have and you need both to have fruit. I've had it for about two years.

Robin, are you sure you don't have both? If you got one o the discount ones I scored, I think they were supposed to have both male and female in the pot, possibly growing very close together. (Groundhog ate mine... I'll check with Martina and see if hers are still doing well; if so, she might like another.)

I have lots of female Hardy Kiwi vines... But the males I buy always die
This year I bought 2 males, (instead of 1/1) if they don't make it. I'm giving up
and figuring I just can't grow Hardy Kiwi.

If anyone wants female cuttings (I've never rooted any), be glad to give you
cutting for rooting, especially if your fortunate enough to already have a male...
