It has been monsoon season here. Finally the rain let up enough for me to bring the plants into the studio. I'm having some nice blooms this year even with the stress from the move.

Rhynchostylis coelestis (blue lip). I picked up two of these at Tamiami and boy are they blooming like gangbusters.

Dyakia hendersoniana blooming on both spikes simultaneously..finally!

Vandachostylis Veeraphol. Blooms are a bit faded, but I like the color.
Thumb of 2016-08-22/shadytrake/4ed8e0

An awarded division from Motes. Don't have the tag on me at the moment. The bumble bees have been having some orchid sex. I see a seed pod back there.
Thumb of 2016-08-22/shadytrake/49623e

Vandaenopsis Prapin. I have been having a devil of a time trying to get this one to bloom. It likes more shade.
Thumb of 2016-08-22/shadytrake/c86574

Papilionanda Patricia Low graces my deck in full sun. Blooms last for months.

Renanthera Kalsom is segregated from all others. You can see the Fusarium in the wrinkled leaves. I'm trying to save it, but the jury is still out. It stays on my deck all by its lonesome.

Melissa, such a wonderful show here this morning! Lovey dubby
I love, love the Rhynchostylis coelestis, I believe I need one!! Nicely bloomed!
Hopefully your Renanthera will survive. They seem to come with an expiration date.

Wow! Melissa...let me go get some blue ribbons for some of your plants...stunning! You did well getting them through a move and now blooming so beautifully for you. I LOVE that Renanthera Kalsom , and hope you are able to work some magic with it.

I'm getting ready for the orchid club meeting tomorrow and I'm in charge. Just sitting here thinking of something witty or clever to say. Rolling on the floor laughing

I'll take these for the bloom table. Not really much blooming in this heat.

Isn't that the truth , Ursula?...when I think of all the things I could have said....DAYS later. Rolling on the floor laughing
I'm not bringing any plants to our meeting tomorrow..as all my current bloomers are either past their prime...or were brought to bud by someone else....but I will be bringing my camera ( I am the official photographer for our club) and I'll be bringing a tasty and ,sort of healthy, Mexican salad item for our lunch buffet table...Jim...all you need to do is bring your smiling face!

This is Vanda Hiroshima Choice. Two spikes blooming this year and I see a third coming. It is starting to be very consistent in form. Two different blooms on two different spikes.
