Does this look familiar to anyone?
Is this severe scorch?

That looks typical of late season decline of the plants. The other spot looks like some sort of fungus, likely, but not one I'm familiar with.

From what I can find, it has a 'medium' growth rate. What ever medium is. Shrug!

Paul2032 said:Hosta House is a Hosta lovers dream. To clarify things a little Burton has raised beds full of organic matter/ His Hostas are double potted. When you choose a plants it is growing with a good established root system. The potted hosta is planted in a second pot which remains in the bed. He uses a wood based planing mix . I prefer de-potting and planing directly in a well prepared bed. I haven'd tried planting in the pot but can see where it might have its advantages, Some one meentioned that I am not well. In March I broke a hip which has limited my gardening but my health is fine,. I need to take more pictures to share......here are some previous ones.

Yay! Paul says I can come visit in the spring and he will show me some neat gardens. I thought Paul was a couple of counties away... but he is only 60 minutes!!

Oh no!!! Help!

Lowe's is starting their clearance sales and right after they got another shipment of Hosta with more varieties and (First Frost) He is selling the pots between $1, $2, and $3 each. Depending on the size of pot.

Each pot has multiple plants.

You have to pay $3 for the 2 gallon pots.

I'm going shopping and I'm going to buy more Hosta and sone golden Japanese forest grass for just a couple of dollars!!!

Here is some interesting info on prices and plants. From the nursery summer sale comes this 'Minuteman'. I paid $5. It is short and wide with very dark green leaves. 1 division.

Thumb of 2016-09-08/SpringGreenThumb/a7e2db

From Hosta House comes this 'minute man' also short and wide but very thick with 6 divisions hiding in there. I paid $12 for this entire plant.

Thumb of 2016-09-08/SpringGreenThumb/7488cc

I just came back from Lowe's clearance...with this minuteman. This one is twice as tall as the other two with long stems tall stems but not as wide. There are 4 divisions in the pot and it's leaves are not as deep green. I paid $2.

So....

Hosta House's full price appears to be somewhat equal to Lowe's clearance.

The Nursery's half off sale is the most expensive sale.

Lowe's plants come with a one year guarantee. Or free replacement.

I thought I was finished buying Hosta 'Great Expectations'. When I went to Lowe's included as part of the new shipment were these large GE. These GE Hosta are 18 inches tall. According to the database 18 is practically mature.

I paid $2 for each GE. Multiple plants in each pot. I don't have to wait 5-7 years for these Hosta to mature. I bought 3.

I bought 9 pots of golden Japanese forest grass from Lowe's on sale $3 each. Here are two I planted in this corner with my peach flambΓ© Huechera (now showing a little golden fall coloring) and my baby 'Blue Angel' Hosta from NH Hosta behind them on the far right corner.

And last of all I bought 3 young 'First Frost' potted Hosta for $1 each. 2 or 3 divisions per pot.

I dowsed my 'Earth Angel' hosta leaves in colloidal silver. Then I poured some into the soil. I'm thankful to say the growth of the fungus spots... whatever type it was... came to an abrupt halt. I wish there was a way to heal the leaves now. It appears the silver has killed the fungus before it could do more damage. Whatever fungus it was; it sure appeared and progressed rapidly. God bless silver. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Yes. Thank you! I'm aware the FDA is against natural remedies and does not advise them.. 😊

All I care about right now is that the fungus has stopped ravaging my plant.

The FDA has had plenty of time to study it. Years and years in fact. Silver has been used by farmers for over 50 years....

But there is just no money in it for the FDA, the pharmaceutical, or chemical industry to encourage anyone into natural remedies.

I'll just have to do my own testing... So far so good! πŸ˜€

The FDA guides folks to processed chemicals and drugs... which are extracted from natural minerals, herbs... Often the ones the FDA does not recommend...

I am aware that a few extremists drank so much silver in a day it was detrimental. They definitely needed to cut back. YUCKO!!

Concerning The Hosta Farm...

I wonder if they didn't even get the order seeing how the confirmation came from a broken email. My card was charged.

I sure hope they return my calls soon. My confirmation said it would be shipped this week. Sad

Today I purchased an interesting Fortunei Aureomarginata on clearance for one dollar.
There were 4 divisions in the pot and one of the divisions was putting out very lavish wide white margin on its leaves. It almost looks like a different plant coming right off the crown. I wondered if it could be a mutated SPORT so I bought it. Does this look like a sport?

It does look like a sport. You should try to separate it from the rest of the plant and grown it on separately.
