They won;t die, they actually look in pretty good shape for this time of the year!

Yes! The leaves look green and perky and healthy just lots of holes blasted in them. I'm glad they aren't dying yet. πŸ˜„

Well it has been a month since I ordered Hosta from 'The Hosta Farm'. I have not had any response from them by email or by phone or fax.

I have left a phone message for them 1 time every week & by fax. Sad Sad

My debit card was charged but no notification or status change in my order. 😳

Last night the rain turned to snow but melted quickly.

You have got to be joking! Blinking Blinking Blinking

If this true...
The Hosta Society should file a discrimination lawsuit on behalf of this beautiful, unique, and rare specimen. Proceeds can go to Hosta research.

Yesterday I made my final 2016 Hosta purchase.

'Silver Bay'. -

because it's a sturdy grower and true blue in color.

Thumb of 2016-09-30/SpringGreenThumb/610926

'Daybreak' - Because it is a fast growing large, sun tolerant, golden Hosta that holds its color with leaves that do not burn. Very noticeable.

Also...

Also 'Marilyn Monroe' - because it's a vigorous grower and everywhere I read says it's a very beautiful Hosta. I've yet to see an ugly picture of one. πŸ˜‰

Next is Montana Aureomarginata. Because it appeared enough times on Hosta Veteran growers 'must have' lists and most beautiful Hosta lists.

And lastly 'Rainbow's End' - I love the stripes and documentation says it's a vigorous grower. Also, none of the above Hosta appear on the 'Hard to grow' list.

All of the Hosta I purchased are potted. These particular Hosta are coming from NH Hosta again because HOSTA HOUSE does not have these varieties in stock. Richard also responds to my emails within 24 hours and he resolved last time's problem issue promptly, kindly, and without a fuss.

Outstanding customer service. My Hosta are scheduled to be shipped Monday. I'll have them in the ground in less than a week.

Betsy, with the number of plants that you have acquired this year, I have to ask when are you going to open your own hosta nursery? Rolling on the floor laughing

I assume that you are marking them as you plant them out. Otherwise, you're going to have a heck of a time keeping track of what is where.

Ya... I better write it down❀️❀️

So far I'm just memorizing them because I only have 26 varieties right now. Maybe in 10 years when they all grow up and I've divided them a couple of times I can sell starts.

Is it 'Liberty'?

I don't know. That's the pic that came up when I googled Montana...

I'll soon find out when my Hosta arrive. Thumbs up

Now.... I just pray they survive this winter. I can't wait to watch them grow next spring. It's a shame spring is so far away.

I usually feel done with winter the first week of January.

'Marilyn Monroe' is indeed beautiful. Frills and a white petticoat and look at this bloom. Taken a couple of days ago in Ottawa.

That's gorgeous!!

I was attracted to it's super pretty ruffles on the edge of it's leaves. Now I understand the name when you mention the white petticoats. Those blooms seem especially thick and pretty!

Confused Confused Confused
I sent a fax asking The Hosta Farm to just cancel my order and please reimburse me 2 days ago...

(I chose to purchase from NH Hosta instead.)

Today I received a tracking number in my email from The Hosta Farm saying my plants were on their way. Not sure if that was a response to my fax... or if they never read or heard any of my messages.

This is both discerning news and happy news. I'm not sure how to feel about it. I suppose I should wait and see what arrives.

I was trying so hard to contact them because I wanted to change the order one plant for another.

At least I know I'm getting something for the money I spent. That's the great side!!

However, what arrives in the mail will determine if I ever buy from them again. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰ 😊🌺
