Ginny. I think the kind of info u give about BORN TO BE WILD is great. I think it shld b more widely known that an individual plant can show such variation. Also that even with the best intentions photos can be very different from the actual bloom colours. I was shocked a few yrs back that I could take photos of the same bloom seconds apart and the colour range was extraordinary. That was back b4 my camera went wonky.

Excellent day for plants (and rust) Overcast so bright light but n direct sun. And !!! no wind.

Bron, I think it is wonderful that you have been able to identify Chardonnay. I remember how excited I was when I took some blooms to a lady and she positively identified them for me. She wasn't able to tell me a few, but there were two (Outrageous and Condilla) that I now know for sure what they are.

Hot Wire is looking good Thumbs up

I am behind again. Lots of reblooming and some stunning seedlings flowering over the coming days. Swoon.

FFOs.
HEMEROCALLIS LILIOASPHODELUS. Only this one bloom this far this season. Doesn't make sense. It is usually an early bloom machine. (I hate photographing yellows and I didn't do this well).

Lots of blooms out on a good overcast not hot day
First ever sdlg of mine to bloom. It was a bee pod 3 yrs ago on PICCADILLY PRINCESS. I didn't striate them and they took so long to germinate I had given up on them. Am calling it 'Sun Of Piccadilly'. Took lots of pics but all were blurry Thumb of 2016-12-10/bron/e5005f

Bron, the colour was accurate. The next lot of buds fell off the following day in the heat. Another scape is coming, however.

Yes, I suspect you are right about our orange noids being the same but we still don't know what it is. It is a pity the old Australian web sites are gone. It is a good vigorous and bloom-full parent to play with and put backbone into some of those modern blooms.
