I joke...but I really hate it.. What am I doing SAVING these things??? I have these little jars that syrup and honey come in..from breakfast at restaurants on vacation.. I do not belive I have ever used one.."oh I will paint this wee thing..tie a ribbon at its neck".......a mini flower vase...oh it can store seeds..pins.. beads.... sigh...

who needs more than ONE extra plastic thing to clip bread bags closed? When has the original actually broken??? NEVER ! That's when!!

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing I do need an intervention! BUT IT IS NEAT!!! It is all neat!!

My mother in law used to wash bread bags and hang them on the line to dry and reuse them. I did for a while but gave it up for zip locks!! But cool whip containers are good for leftovers or sending home extra food with kids Whistling Whistling

Well, tomorrow I have a DEXA scan - check on the ole bone density
That is one way to know you ain't a spring chicken

My DH had to get his prostate exam today...and he WANTED me to GO with him and observe the pants around the ankle scenario....that is for sure sign number two.

I have notes up all over the house to remind me tomorrow to actually go for that scan ..that is sign number 3

I have a criminal check I have to do tomorrow - so I can teach/ volunteer at the elementary school...I ALWAYS pass it and they never actually ASK me to prove that I pass it..sign 4

I dyed a chunk of my hair purple and nobody noticed it -(perhaps folks think it is old lady blue??) ( or dementia) sign 5

The doc wants me to eat a handful of walnuts every day...and because of that recommendation I need prunes ..sign number 6

Looked down and saw I had white socks on with my new Keen walking shoes and noticed nobody actually wears socks with these shoes ....sign 7

I went to Costco and despite their HUGE inventory of fun stuff...in my wagon was paper towels, toilet tissue, detergent, Hawaiian rolls and B complex ..... BORING ....sign number 8

All my eyeshadow is at least 5 years old and brand new....sign 9

While walking at the Riverwalk I looked down at my legs shining pure pure white - except for a few blue spiders - in the sun and noticed I missed an entire leg while shaving....and I did not even care...
Definitely sign 10

The tops of my underware are at least 5 inches higher than the waist of my jeans...sign 11

I watched an awards show and recognized about 7 percent of the celebrities sign 12

I can't remember what comes after 12

You make me laugh, Rosie.
My daughter came recently and made me throw away 12 bottles of Elmer's Glue. She let me keep one. I think she posted a photo of my stash on Facebook.

Thank you for the acorn! That was so nice to wake up to. I am not looking foward to the argument I will have with my GYN (we grew old together but she looks better) about taking some drug that gives me hot flashes...makes my ears ring ...and increase risk of blood clots JUST because I have a LITTLE bone loss in my left hip.

Now I ask you..... How much longer am I going to need that hip?? What is the rate of deterioration? Will I outlive that? I don't have "porosis" just "penia" (<<<< Rolling on the floor laughing this silly iPad keeps changing penia to penis!) (I have been accused of having one of those once or twice too!! Ha! )

Rosie I laughed so hard on these I almost peed my pants - sign number 13 Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing I had the bone density test a couple years ago and she put me on the meds since I was borderline. Took the meds and they made me sick! Read a bunch online about the meds and stopped taking them and added magnesium to the Citrical and figured I'm good! Went for another physical this year and they told me I needed another bone density test. I said I fell down a flight of stairs the week before (not wearing those darn boots anymore Crying Crying ) and didn't break anything so I think I'm good Whistling Whistling She told me to increase my weight bearing exercise and I said "you mean start!" It amazes me that these docs think they are going to be the boss of us!

Thank you for the acorn Ginny ...it makes growing old a bit better huh?? Glad you enjoyed my "signs"

I lost the truck in the parking lot...cant blame that on a sign since it is a regular happening. I try the BMW handles along the way ...in case I REALLY forgot...but it never works. ..except some alarms go off ..those BMWS are so high strung! Hahaha

That medicine was no good for me.. It took YEARS to get rid of not flashes..not going there again.
I had a hysterectomy with ovaries and so menopause at 45 was instantaneous and hard.. Very hard. Not doing that again. I cried EVERY SINGLE time LUCY and ETHEL had a fight..and so you know I cried a lot!

I have only been lurking here since this thread was started and have been enjoying the posts and laughing my head off. But talking about menopause...reminded me of something that happened to me in my 40's. Shortly after divorcing my ex I met a very handsome and sexy guy. Every time he came into my office I would get all hot and bothered...thought I was in love. I mentioned this to an acquaintance in the same building and she told me that it was just lust. Come to find out several years later from a doctor that I had started my menopause at that time. This explained the hot flashes that I thought was love! The Mail. Now that I'm old, going out to get the mail has become like that old golf book, "A Good Walk Wasted". If it weren't for grocery ads, AARP, pre-paid cremation offers, hearing aid pitches, life insurance invitations, Senior Living Complex brochures, and political solicitations ... the box would be empty. Except for the calendars. I now have six - yes six - for 2017. The Humane Society, National Wildlife Federation, The Nature Conservancy, Alley Cat Allies, World Wildlife Fund, and the Arbor Day Foundation. Having reached a point in my life when I have little use for calendars, this seems a bit strange. Much like the gold watch presented to a man who is retiring and no longer needs to be bothered with what time it is.
Oh, I almost forgot the return address labels. I have a ten-year supply. Some of them even have my name spelled right.
If you need a calendar, let me know. I have extras.

That is GREAT!!

I do not even have ONE calendar yet!!

Yipppppeereeeee!!

Is there a happy dance emoji ??

Of course, Hillary has invited me to come hear her speak and has asked if I've a spare bedroom to host a campaign person and could I donate just one dollar

And Donald has asked if I would like to have him for a barbecue.....of course we love pork and I have inquired about the size of the Apple! He wants $20...a dollar won't do it...he runs with a richer crowd.

Unbelievable!!! I just got yet ANOTHER calendar today! This one from the Audubon Society!!!!! That makes seven so far! And I'm the person who couldn't give you a quick response if asked, "Is it Tuesday or Wednesday?" Sometimes I look at the calendar and still can't figure out the correct answer...

Rolling on the floor laughing about the political candidates, Rosie. Why don't they quit sending me mail asking for money? Seems like that would be quite a savings for them. If I donated, it would only encourage this annoying habit....

What a great laugh for this evening... I think my first "unread post" tonight was the one with Rosie's signs you are old, and I haven't stopped laughing from there to here. At least we still have our sense of humor!

There were several things that I thought about commenting on, but the main one was ... there is no way in **** that I will take a medicine that gives me hot flashes again unless it is a an imminent matter of life and death!
