It should be at the very top right of your screen. You might have to scroll to the right to see it.

Next to last item is "Customize Menubar"
Click on "Manage your custom menubar"
Name a link you want (i.e. my plant list) in the first box
In another window go to that location and copy the link (URL) into the second box
A blue chain icon will now appear between the bell icon and the person in your upper right corner.

"Manage your custom menubar" is not working on my settings???????

I'm still playing and exploring with the new design.

I love the customizable home page. After experimenting a few times, I really like my home page.

The threads being so left-justified does look and feel odd.

I immediately noticed when the color of the headers went from blue to green and I much, much prefer the green. Thanks so much for changing to the green!

What do I put there?

I tried "garden art"

I clicked on a thread in garden art to see if the link URL would show up somewhere on that thread..I see actual post numbers ...but no URL..

but how do I either find a URL..or get that first box "name your link to populate?

So far the only thing that I'm having trouble with is reading thru this forum! Being new, I'm not yet familiar with many User Names (pseudonyms) and 'real names' of said users. Trying to read thru the questions, crabbing, answers, cross posting is really making my eyes cross. Not anyone's fault. It's kinda funny after awhile. I'll see a question and then a new question and then a misunderstanding and then an answer to someone using their actual name (mine = Joan) when the question had been asked with the User Name (mine = texas_flower_child) and I'm like 'whoa!' I'm sure, I think, that when I start to customize my home screen (do I know what that is? oh, yeah, I do) I'll be able to weed thru this forum and find what I need.

Doesn't matter if y'all don't understand what I just wrote. I understand it and I guess it's just a reminder for me about something or other. I think my older bro must be on to something when he tells me that getting old is not for sissies.

So thank you Dave and all of the elves working in your shop. You've done a massive amount of work and what's especially great is seeing how quickly y'all are responding to questions and crabbing. I'll give you an acorn once I figure out where to do that. Which I will. Sooner or later. I love a grand experiment. Kudos!

Highlight the little blue person icon and you should see

* Your username - menu
* View Your Profile
* View Your Posts
* Settings - Click on settings: Down at the bottom of the page you will see "Custom Menu Bar" Click where it says Manage Your Custom Menubar and after you've made changes, don't forget to click "Save Your Changes.

@Dave - the envelope, bell, link, and person icons DO show up at the top right of the screen from my home computer, so the issue I was having earlier today IS probably just related to some script blocking in the browser at work. I'll use workarounds at work or wait until I am home to get to certain things. All is fine. Thanks!

I realise the blank space is due to my adblocking, but would it be possible to swap the order of the ad and the watch forum/thread link and forum info so that it's actually at the top, not underneath the ad?

DH thought it was more important for me to make supper than to customize my home page right at that minute of my last post, but now that I'm back I've done the customize thing and it is really awesome! I LOVE being able to put stuff where I want it...

I have to admit, though, that I didn't recognize the "chain" icon for what it is... thanks for pointing that out, Greene . (even if I had I probably would have thought "what the heck is a chain supposed to mean" )

At any rate -- I like the change, looks easy enough to navigate on a computer and I hope anyone using a tablet or phone will be able to get their home page customized the way they want it.

Lin - I was able to find "Manage Your Custom Menubar", but when I click on it, nothing happens. Nothing pops up. Nothing changes on the screen. So not sure if mine is just not working or I am missing something?

Here you can add your own custom links to the navigation bar on the site. They will show up in a link dropdown. You can add as many as you can make room for. For each link you want, just click the "Add another link" button at the bottom. When you're done, click on "Save your changes".

My "Ignore List" and "Email and Password" doesn't work either.

No page comes up when I click on any of the blue highlighted options. I think mine aren't working.
