Okay...I will admit that I am old and non-smart at times. I just asked my DD (dear daughter) what the icon for a chain means. She said, "It's a link." I clicked on it and wow, there are all the links that used to be over on the left in the blue area. Yippee!

Overall, I kind of have to agree with Thomas...........but I am an old person and resistant to change.

Are things going to get more streamlined for phone use...really disappointed that I have to scroll sideways to see everything...I thought it was going to be more mobile user friendly and doesn't seem that way. Even using desktop view it's the same. @dave, will this be changed?

Ronnie, it might... it's something that I'm just going to have to spend some time on.

There you see a series of boxes: Find the one called 'Watcher Notifications' (left side)
Hold you mouse over it that Watcher Notification and while left clicking and holding, drag it to the very top left box and drop it in there (by releasing the mouse)
Now take the other feature that is in the top left box and drag and drop it in the box you just vacated.

Now your watched threads are at the very top

No way to do that with IPad. I have to locate a desktop each time I want to customize

our local library has computers with internet access , Rosie.

If your's does it may be easier then finding someone you haven't offended / annoyed to set your preferences.
a pain I know but might be worth a look.

Admit I was frustrated when I first went to customize my home page. Went back later and discovered how easy it was to move elements around. Really easy once the light comes on, so those who feel intimidated should not despair.

To me, it is really easy to move around, and I am experimenting right now.
But think I will love it eventually.

Thanks Dave for giving us a chance to see the tools and also the challenges of creating a good visual experience for each person.

Oh and thanks for who ever mentioned the chain of links in upper right corner next to the bell and envelope. I was looking for that.

Yeah, I will look. I have a shortage of friends. I have not gone to a library in 40 years..I hope there is not an earthquake

The easiest way I found to customize my homepage was to drag out everything I don't want leaving the stuff I do want. It turned out great, almost the same as we had with watched forums at the top.
